Of the 3 tired act comedies I heard about this week this is the best. The other two were a Ben Stiller neighborhood watch themed movie that should go straight to dvd and then straight to the dumpster and an Adam Sandler movie where he impregnates a teacher when he is 14 years old and he is a bad dad who meets back up with his son later in life.

Sandler keeps making money which makes me ill. One very bad movie after another,all with some kind of "gimmick". He is the white Eddie Murphy.

Saw this announcement when I watched Conan. They should just leave it alone. It is a
funny character but it is like a floating body in the water. The more you poke it with a

I think this is great. I loved the first one. It could be very good but if it's average who cares? It's not like the first one was a masterpiece that would be somehow tarnished by a bad sequel. Then again, I'm the only person who didn't feel the need to say The Hangover 2 wasn't that good because it was just like the first one.

At this point, it appears he's a better serious actor (Funny People, Punch-Drunk Love) than a comedic actor.

Left to his own convictions, Sandler panders to the stupid with crap like Jack and Jill. He sucks.

Yeah Kingpin, and Stepbrothers is a valid comparison. The Big Lebowski is one of the greatest films of the 90s.

Step Brothers wasn't horrible, but it was definitely part of a downward trend that began with Talladega Nights.
Best to Worst from that period:

Blades of Glory

Stranger Than Fiction was right before Talladega Nights and is probably the best movie he's done overall, even though it's so unlike the others. His best character is hands down Ashley Schaeffer in Eastbound and Down.

I could only watch parts of Semi Pro and Blades of Glory at a time. That happens to every comedic actor whose popularity explodes. They start agreeing to do shitty movies because they want to capitalize on their popularity. With Will Ferrell, you could at least find a few good moments here and there amongst all the parts that make you cringe and feel embarrassed for him. Cannot say the same for Adam Sandler. Awful human being. He's very consistent at making shit to the point that some of the good work he's done is ruined.
