I went to my 25-year grammar school reunion a few years ago. There are a big turnout, probably about 85 to 90% of a 50 or so person class, but only a couple people brought their spouse.

Sounds like a blast. Did you know anyone's name?
What did they serve for food - paste and boogers?

Was there a nap?

I still haven't peaked (and if I have), but I had fun in High School.

I can't say I have any desire to go to mine. I didn't go to the 1Oth because they forgot have one but they had one for the 11th which speaks volumes already. I already see the people I want to see so I really don't see the point. I could also just stop into any Elburn bar for some warm and flat miller lite and be at the reunion every single weekend from now till eternity.

I went to a Catholic grammar school on the southwest side so the vast majority of us were in the same class from grades one through eight, and their brothers and sisters were in classes with other kids' brother and sisters, etc.

I didn't intend of going but a few people talked me into it, and even still I only had the intention of staying for an hour or so. I wound up staying much longer and had a much better time than I imagined.

It was an all-you-can eat buffet of sauerkraut, circus peanuts, and Clark bars.

Not sure if we had a 10th or not & don't know if they are having a 15th this year. If we did, I never heard about it, nor did I check to see if there was one though. I did see that district 218 (mine) is having a reunion for all schools graduating classes. May have already happened though. Wonder if Dwyane Wade, and Kanye West showed up.

My grammar school barely had a graduation. No caps, no gowns. None of the luncheon/class trip stuff either. Just 60-70 really bored kids & their equally bored parents. Grammar school graduation seemed about as important as....grammar school reunions.

I explained my background to the wife in advance of my own son's graduation. She still didn't get the apathy bordering on disdain I had for the entire process. HS graduation would seem to be the first to actually get interested in, and absent talents in other areas, even then it shouldn't be the last graduation, so bfd. Imo.

I have no interest in attending my college ten year next year. Probably cause I was a commuter and talked to almost no one at the school.

I've been to grade school, high school, and college reunions and had fun. The best reunion was an old firm I used to work for (yes they had reunions). They had cracked crab and top shelf liquor all night with no actual obligation to be social.

What about Little League Baseball reunions? I'll see if Norty's cuz can get one organized for you guys.

I had a semi-reunion for my K-8th grade Lutheran School. It was a nice dinner at Houlihan's. All six of us had a blast.

I did my 20 year high school reunion. Had a good time. I provided the projector through work for the picture montage. Had a decent time. I brought my wife and now we are about to get divorced. The two events have nothing to do with each other though.

We never had a reunion (or I wasn't invited, which I'd put my money on). Really, I'm not interested. Reunions, to me, are a thing of the past. I have a reunion every day on Facebook. The same chicks who wouldn't fuck me back then, aren't going to fuck me now, so it's no big deal.

We were all set up to have our 10 year reunion back in 2007 but the girl setting it up really fucked it up and only got about 50 people from a class of about 350 people to go. She was lazy so it all fell apart at the last minute. So instead one of my friends decided she was going to set it up herself and that wound up being about 10-15 of us drinking beer at a park in Tinley Park on a hot ass day in August. I'm still close with my friends from high school and I usually talk/see them once or twice a month. I have no need to see the other people I graduated with, otherwise I would have by now.

They attempted to contact me, however they apparently couldn't figure out which penal institution I was in at the time. True story. I heard from my mom about this several years after the fact.

Put me also in the camp, "I couldn't stand most of them then, why the hell would I want to see them now?"

It depends if it's on a Friday or Saturday, because, if Goodfellas has taught us nothing else, Saturday nights are for the wives, but Friday nights at the Copa are always for the girlfriends. If it's on a Sunday, you take your mother. I think.
