Brock Lesnar Negotiating With WWE To Appear At WrestleMania 28
By Daniel Pena
Mar 30, 2012 - 4:20:55 PM

Both F4WOnline.com and PWInsider.com are reporting that Brock Lesnar is in negotiations with WWE to make a surprise appearance at Sunday's WrestleMania XXVIII pay-per-view event at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida. Negotiations are ongoing, but a source within the company says that there is a 50-50 chance that Lesnar will appear on the show.

The source went on to state that WWE wants Lesnar to appear and is hoping that a deal can be finalized within the next 24 hours.

Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White confirmed to F4WOnline.com that Lesnar is legally able to appear at WrestleMania on Sunday since he is no longer under contract to the organization. White was not aware if Lesnar was appearing on the show.

Lesnar left WWE in March 2004 to pursue a career in the National League Football, which was short-lived. Following a brief fling in New Japan Wrestling, he stepped away from the professional wrestling industry entirely in 2006 to pursue a career in mixed martial arts. He captured the UFC Heavyweight Championship from Randy Couture on November 15, 2008, then avenged his loss to Mir at UFC 100 to become the Undisputed Champion. He lost the strap two years later to Cain Velasquez at UFC 121. Lesnar announced his intentions to retire from mixed martial arts following a subsequent loss to Alistair Overeem in December, which prompted speculation of a return to WWE.

A writer for the Associated Press stated in his article on Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson that if WWE wants to squeeze another potential blockbuster buy rate out of The Most Electrifying Man In Sports Entertainment, the last man standing to get the headline match would be Lesnar.

"I'm not saying a thing," said a laughing, grinning Johnson with his eyebrow raised after being asked about the possible encounter. "I didn't say anything

Batista Arrives In Miami, Getting Picked Up By WWE
By Michael Bluth
Mar 30, 2012 - 5:51:09 PM

Former WWE superstar Batista is currently in Miami, the site of Sunday's WrestleMania 28 pay-per-view.

Batista recently announced that he'll be participating in the 2012 Nautica South Beach Triathlon on Sunday, which is raising money for the St. Jude’s children’s charity.

What's interesting about Batista's arrival today is that he's being picked up by WWE, according to f4wonline.com. While this is not a confirmation that he's going to be at WrestleMania, the fact that he's being picked up by WWE is a strong indication they'll be talking business.

Pink shirt Dave needs to stay away from WWE this weekend. He has done nothing but be critical of what they have done since he left a few years ago, but now he is going to come in and take a payday from them? He won't draw any extra buys to any ppvs if he does return. Brock Lesnar on the other hand would be a PPV draw and I'm completely OK with him coming back to help spike the business.

I'm thinking Big Dave has to be there as a fan and the HOF. Brock is there to smash (on a 5 appearance per year basis)

If Batista was smart, say he will show up if he can get a big donation for his Charity he will be there for.

I have a question on Taker-HHH, if it goes down with what's being reported that HBK could Super kick Trips and Taker wins, and possibly setup HBK-HHH next year at Mania.

If they did this, say Triple H definitely has Taker beat, Michaels counts 2 and about to get 3 doesn't do it and when Triple H confronts him gets the kick and Taker pins him. WOuld that put an asterisk on the Streak since people would say Trips won, but because of the Ref, Taker extends it.

Will add the on the possibilty of Triple H-HBK being made main event for next year Mania, I wouldn't do that, if people think it worked this year, welll it helped that we have never seen Cena-Rock against each other, we have seen HBK-HHH a bunch of times already.

reents that's why I do not believe there will be any HBK interference.

If not, then what's the point of him being there?

To add the speculation of interference.

Either way it would go interference to lead to a victory would be bad. You do not want the streak ending because of itnerference. And you do not want Taker's streak tainted by it either. I just do not see it happening.

I think they want to add the intrigue of it. I am sure there will be the perfect spot come up for some sweet chin music and you will see the wheels turning in HBK's mind, but in the end he will refrain and call it clean. Somewhat like the reconcillation between Bret Hark and HBK. Right before they hugged there was that brief moment where it appeared as if HBK would give him the kick.

Swerve. I mean are people clamoring for HHH vs HBK next year? I mean people besides HHH.

Sunday's WrestleMania 28 pay-per-view is still not sold out but a lot of tickets are expected to be sold today and tomorrow at bargain prices.

- Last word on Brock Lesnar appearing at WrestleMania 28 was that the two sides were still working on terms of a deal including financial issues and a number of dates that he would be working for WWE. WWE wants Lesnar to have a somewhat regular role.

I could see something like this happen if they are waiting to set up something in the future for HHH and HBK (which I hope they don't):

HHH is expecting HBK to help him win in someway and when HBK calls it clean and HHH loses to Taker he is upset after the match and there is a confrontation and ultimately ends up in HBK giving HHH some sweet chin music and walks off leaving HHH laid out in the ring.

Again as fans of both HHH and HBK I really hope they do not go that route, but I see that as more of a possibility than there being actual interference to end the match.

I hope you're correct.

Another rumour floating around is Brock Lesnar attacks Taker post match to set something up.

If they bring in Brock for a role like the Rock has been having, the boys in the back will be even more pissed off. I have already seen interviews where Punk has given it to Brock for being a baby and a pussy. If they matched up Rock/Brock for next year, it could get ugly.

I think his birthday is coming up soon, I'll have to buy him a few DVD's. Maybe Drop In has one or two of Rey Mysterio Jr sitting around as well.
