Yeah...she's worked 95 hours in the last 5 days...I haven't actually seen her since Monday night...project from hell going on.

Oh Yeah...I did the laundry, it's garbage night tonight, I've been able to pop out and have dinner with her a couple of times this weekend. It just sucks because she's getting home anywhere between 1 and 3 in the morning, and I wind up wide awake when she comes in...I'm dragging ass myself.

Right now, I'm hoping she gets Sunday off in full. This project has her really fucked up.

My personal favorite part of the whole thing is a toss up. She found out while watching a slideshow presentation in a meeting...didn't get prior warning from her boss...or that her boss suggested she look for internal jobs to post for in her position, and the only one open was in Mt Home, Arkansas.

Edit: 60 days, Hank. If I had to guess, she will move somewhere internally at one of the Chicago area offices...they are all in the Northern Suburbs...yesterday, she was even hinting that she may remain on the ongoing project in a different capacity.

Mountain Home is nice. Right on the shores of Lake Norfolk and near Bull Shoals lake. Good fishing and you are just barely in Arkansas so it is OK.

It's still Arkansas. Not happening anyway. She can't unload her house, and she doesn't want to move any further away from her family than she already is without being near a real airport.

So why is she busting her ass on the project? I can understand wanting to get fired/laid off rather than quit, but shit if she's out of a job anyway why not just half ass it for the short time she has left?

That's my thought process, too, but she's #1: been there 12 years, and hoping that something pops up from it, and #2 already invested a shitload of the last 3 years of her life to it. She's dedicated to seeing it through, which I think is commendable.

it's not easy...like spmack said. and i think in some cases it's not their choice (not in the case of piven, who had appeared bald before) but if you're a leading man or you're not "supposed" to look bald...they will give you weaves and wigs and all that shit. hollywood's all about the image of youth.
