Let's see if Dale Sveum makes an example out of Soriano...

I hope he comes out and has an actual decent start to the year so the Cubs can trade him for something.

This game is on pace for a spectacular display of Marmol shitting himself for the save.

Soriano was pulled in the 8th... maybe he's only good for 7 innings and a CS a day.

He's not a first baseman by trade, but pressed into service with Bryan LaHair sidelined and Anthony Rizzo in Triple "A" Iowa to start.

2 big weird decisions for Sveum already. Soriano getting pulled on an ill advised stolen base and taking out your shutout starter in the 8th. Breaking in nicely.

fire sveum

One can only hope injuries force them to trade for Dewitt.

Anything to get Soriano out of a close game late is a good move. And pulling Dumpster late isn't really crazy. First game of the year he deep and gave you a chance to win. Guess you have to trust your bullpen.

#11 in your program, at least at the start of the season for the Chicago National League Ballclub and likely not long for this roster.

Right on. I think you let Demp finish out that inning. Soriano I'd not mind seeing in the dugout either at any time, not just late. Dude is... not... good?

Should've stuck with Dempster. He was rolling along just fine. Can't bring a guy in just for the ovation.

Kerry Wood is already in mid season form. Isn't it about time for him to strain an oblique?

You let Dempster finish the inning and if he loses so be it. Dont let fucking Wood blow the game for you so the frat boys can toast each other in the fucking bleachers. Fuck. Fuck. Fuckity Fuckeroo.
