I see LaHair is finally going to make a go for it.

Svuem clearly plays his bench guys. Let's hope the ball doesn't find DeWitt.

Hopefully shark is able to mix his speed and can make it through the lineup the 2nd and 3rd times without really falling apart.

He has looked great. What a job he has done this past year. Hopefully Marmol does not come in to fuck this up for him.

Castro has 4 stolen bases in 3 games. I like it. Soriano just went from 1st to 3rd on a single. Good, aggressive and fundamentally sound baseball is something the Cubs have been lacking for years. This does not include Byrd who has missed cut offs and been unable to get a simple bunt down.

Castro needs to go to penalty box and feel shame.

He's had a great game up until that forced bad throw. Now fucking Marmol is going to give it up because he can't hit a god damn barn right now.

Hope Dempster, Garza and Shark keep it up. Might be able to get some good prospects for the three of them.

I would actually keep Shark if he can pitch like this. Hell of a game for him.

Even though that was a 1-2 series I feel good about the things that matter with this team. I love the base running. So what If Soriano got thrown out once on a very close play, they have more than made up for it with the stolen bases and 1st to 3rds.

Samardzija looked outstanding.
Hitting 98mph with control after 100 pitches was impressive.

I like what I've seen so far from this team. Starlins E in the 9th was a concern but that's about it so far.

BUT the BULLPEN!.........shhhhhh you sound stupid - unless you think this is the year then yes please panic.

Should have been a sweep, but have to settle for one. Nice to see Shark deal, 8 K's with no walks.
