Now that Dan has refocused his personal life, now would be a good time to make some professional adjustments as well. I would like to see Dan reclaim the character of the Score. The modern Score is as distanced from the people and as cozy with the teams as anything that existed during the Chet era of sports talk. The golden era of the Score was a clear break from that paradigm and it resonated with the people. Dan is one of the few links to that golden age.

I would like to see Mac ditch this mid day crap and get on the air during a drive time, preferably afternoons. I would like the station to commit itself to being an advocate rather than an adversary to its listeners. I would like to see hosts who understand this mindset, most specifically Hood. I would like to see B and B broken up, as I believe they have become a bit stale and really are not as popular as the influence they have at the station would indicate. Move Dan to mornings solo.

It is the 20th Anniversary for the station and a new life for Dan. It is a perfect time to think big.

Drinky challenges Dan repeatedly and loses. Rozner and Rosenbloom are the only guys who can get him on his heels without being belittled and blithely dismissed.

He'll never do mornings, though, because it's too much of a disturbance to living a normal life. I wonder if repeatedly mentioning "doing mornings takes years off your life" is a way of making sure no one offers him the job.
