Bullshit. The man has been the primary earner for his stations for the better part of a decade. ESPN1000 was built on the work and talent of Dan. It was a non entity when he arrived. When he left, they were the top afternoon drive show in sports radio by a landslide over B and B with residual ratings throughout the day. The HFC and Monsters created the Score out of nothing. Dan, along with Mike North, were the driving forces behind the station taking Chicago radio by storm. Maybe he pulled back a little in the last 1+ year. I wouldn't know as I cannot listen regularly during that time. However, your characterization is simply incorrect.

This is not an ALS issue either, so save that. The guy was off the air, told us why, and seems to be taking action to getting his life back in order. regardless of who they are or what they do, if you can't admire somebody for that then honestly you have bigger issues than Mac ever has.

Mac is alright with me. I don't listen to his show all the time, when I do I enjoy it. I'm more of a B&B guy. Definitely wish him luck and good health going forward.
