Maybe so, but you can avoid getting it from Taco Bell. There are plenty of authentic Mexican places that taste better.

They weren't bad but they didn't taste like Doritos. Also having to pay $1.30 extra per taco for chicken didn't make me feel any better about them.

When you go to Taco Bell do you go Soft (hiyo!) or hard?

Ive been strictly soft taco for a while. I thought it was ok.

Typically the beefy 5 layer is the only way to go at Taco Bell. THis taco earns a spot in the rotation now.

I highly recommend that if you feel the onset of the flu coming, to not order volcano tacos. They truly stuck to their description for me a couple of months ago.

I didn't feel sick when I ordered them, but later the next day, I felt nauseaous for quite awhile. Then suddenly, just like a volcano, I had volcano tacos erupting from every orifice of my body. It was probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I was so grateful that there was nobody there to witness this tragedy. I couldn't even look at a Taco Bell building for at least a week. :puker:

So there you have it. Taco Bell will likely keep the exact date under wraps for a while to let the news sink in with its customers. By releasing the flavors separately, it can now create a ton a buzz all over again.

It's smart marketing, but will it save Taco Bell? The chain is still struggling, and it's betting on this series of Doritos tacos to be a key part of its turnaround.
