You cant unmeatball before 4-15. I simply wont allow it!!!

As an aside, this team has a lot of double capitalized last name players.

Between him and Michael Bush, Boers should be dead by November.

Well at least Wood and Marmol seem to have remembered the season started. Only 1 walk for Marmol. Of course WCUB was behind at the time, so a little different sense of urgency there.

Would it be possible for WGN or CSN to broadcast the I-Cubs instead with a live updates of Castro's AB's?

A 4 game sweep would really be embarrassing. Byrd's trade value is really great now huh after that 1 for 20 start? They should have dumped his ass in spring training for the best offer. Stupid!

The best we can hope for is a freak lightning storm that takes out both him and DeJesus.

Reed Mantle takes over today in CF for the god awful Marlon Byrd. Clevenger is catching.

I like this lineup. I don't really know why, but I just do.

If Clevenger has a solid start, how soon is Theo looking to move Soto?

Nice to see Byrd hitting the bench. I think Theo has always been looking to move Soto but there isn't the market right now. Hendry could have traded him last year to the Pirates, but decided to keep him.

Clevenger may be a better offensive catcher, but apparently he is not thought of too highly defensively. The Cubs see him as a backup catcher and Castillo as a possible starter. But, the word is Castillo is dumb as rocks when it comes to calling games. I don't know why they just don't call the game from the bench, if thats the case.

Get the Byrd and Soto out of the lineup and things happen. Clevenger leads off with a double and Reed Mantle singles to score him.

Clevenger/Johnson switch already paying dividends. Cubs up 1-0.

Things are happening. 3-O Cubs  I wonder if Byrd and Soto are drinking beers, playing video games and eating chicken in the clubhouse?

157-5 should get them in the playoffs if they keep playing like this.

To early for a trend? The Cubs will win the last game of every series. Then again, they might still lose today.
