Stats

Cubs 40 (11th)

Batting Average:
Marlins .243 (8th)
Cubs .236 (11th)

OPS
Marlins .669 (10th)

Team ERA

Cubs 4.60

Team WHIP
Marlins 1.35 (13th)
Cubs 1.22 (5th)

My Take:

Marlins are the better team. Their offense is off to a really bad start this year. Going against the Cubs best 3 starters, wouldn't be a shock to see the Cubs take 2 of 3. It's the Cubs though, I'll predict 1.

Pound the Cubs tonight +170. Johnson is pulling a Peavy by trying to gut it out through an injury that is diminishing his ability.

Seriously that was harder to look at than the walls in the outfield of the new Marlins ballpark. By the way that is going to be half empty just like their last park in 2 months isn't it?

Cubs' M-O is to win one game every series. That will continue.

1 passed ball though. :(

Byrd with another O-3. Patience is running thin. At least Swaimer pulled him.
Clevenger still has more hits than both Byrd and Soto.

Looks like the pen and another shitty throw by a pitcher earlier in the game are at fault for the loss. I just saw that Woody got a cortisone shot in his shoulder.

Good seats still available. I'm sure all of that will change once they get the new stadium.

God damn do Byrd and Soto ever suck. I think the minor league system has some good position players developing right now but they need to be thinking about a catcher. I don't think Castillo is anything special and while Clevenger is my guy I doubt they will ever let him be more than an every 4th day catcher. They need to address this during this years draft as it seems to be the 1 position they have absolutely no one developing.

We know Hendry like Castillio a lot. It was my personal theory that Jed/Theo sent him to Iowa to get everyday at bats. This team is un-watchable.

I really wasn't kidding when I said I would rather watch Iowa. Other than Castro and Barney there is little I can bear watching of the big league team. I think they are only giving him AB's so he is ready to go if they can dump Soto.

It's hard to imagine there being a worse team in baseball than the Cubs. These guys are brutal.

Minnesota, Houston, San Diego and Oakland all contenders for worst record with the Cubs. I hope they finish with the worst record so as to garner top draft picks. Why not? If you are gonna suck...

Its like watching Morel, Dunn and Beckham bat twice in the lineup behind a bad pitching staff.
