I got that from the fact that he was out of the hospital on his own power about an hour and a half after the hit occured. If there was anything major he is there overnight for obervation. He spent no more than a half hour in the hospital by the time he got off the ice and was brough over to Northwestern.

Totally agree that i am being optimistic. Just going off the very few details that have been released the signs are encouraging.

We're talking about Hossa here, he's been healthy this year, but in seasons past if you just blew on the guy he would be out a week.

In fairness, he was unhurtable for years before we got him. I guess you can only play through so many injuries for so long.

I will admit to being as much of a fair weather fan as I allow myself to be this year. Outside of when Wirtz wasn't worried about having fans. But my involvement in the section does not reflect my viewing and interest throughout the year. I used to refuse going to conventions, and I've been two years in a row. Enough of that.

Hammer is having himself a game so far.

Frolik has been fine since he was inserted.

LOTS of shots 8+ feet wide so far. Sheesh.

Games like this is one reason you do not trade the Hammer. Guy is on fire.
88 needs to step his game up a few notches.

Kane was the best fwd on the ice in that period. He keeps that up he will be on scoresheet tonight.

Not sure what #88 chas is watching.

Speaking of #88, anyone notice Eddie O say something along the lines of "the problem when you're physical on that play like Kane was, if that's not your game it'll tire you too quickly". Seemed like a harmless comment but it pissed me off, he's such an apologist for hockey's aggresive side of the game. That shoulder Kane put into the Yotes player seperated him from the puck on the boards and the Hawks kept possession. I almost had a boner because that's what I expect from the whole team but the last person I expected it from was Kane.

Yep. Well said.

You know, Bernsie more or less predicted what would happen: for all the talk about the Hawks coming out looking for revenge in one way (scoring) or another (punching), the Coyotes would just laugh them off and punch them in the head. Well, there you have it, that happened.
