Focus on one or the other!

With that kind of winning attitude and focus you stand a chance to be enshrined in the softball hall of fame alongside steve.

If it was sunny and warm, Wrigley would win out.

Let me add my 2 cents on Steve and the entire softball hall of fame. Softball players and teams are below average athletes overall. It's not about good teams, it's about playing a sport with your friends, so any "team" that takes themselves seriousely enough to track a record, have a manager etc are just a bunch of guys who couldn't play anything else.

We had some teams that went 10-0 in the summers, but lost in the playoffs because 3 guys played in the NFL and had to go to training camp, 1 guy had to go back to Law School, etc.

I have seen Team Smoke play and they are good, but I could assemble a team to beat them with a few phone calls.

Yes, hitting a no limit pitch 16 inch ball is a skill, but not one that needs years of development.

Guys like Mike North promote the softball HOF because they couldnt do anything else.

My general rule regarding adult softball is that if a team is in full uniform with matching jerseys and baseball pants then it is way too serious. Get a team team t-shirt, random shorts and go have some fun for an hour or 2.

I've done 12" and 16" and I look at it the same was at bigfan. Its nice to get out and play a couple of games, then go have a couple beers with the team. Sure when I'm out there I go all out and want to win, but I never got too high or too low regardless of what happened on the field. Guy who act like steve in terms of summer softball leagues are a dime a dozen.

How does Steve play softball if his herniated discs affect his bowling ?

I'll be honest, even I would take free Cubs tickets if I wasn't working today. Fun to do some day drinking at a game (even if it is the Cubs) every so often.

I'd still go. Its not ideal but its supposed to be dry later on. I've been at games and on the golf course in weather worse than this.

You mean you've never golfed in kinda crappy weather like in March? I'll get the itch after sitting inside for the better part of 4-5 months and golf if its sunny and 40. Same thing with November, as I figure it would be one of the last rounds of the season.
