I'm not saying Byrd hasn't been worse, I'm just saying him being horrible has taken the spotlight off of how bad Soriano has been.

What do you expect out of Soriano? If you expected anything more than what he is doing that is what is really horrible.

Given how streaky Soriano is even the fact that he is slugging zero shouldn't surprise you, IMU. Because the next 6-10 games he could slug .850, that's just how he's been his whole career.

I don't expect anything from him. This is what I expected. I'm just pointing it out to people like JORR and UMN that he sucks balls and the Cubs are not necessarily "better" because he is playing instead of a rookie.

He doesn't "suck." If the Cubs cut him today he wouldn't be out of a job past May 1st unless he was hurt.

He is not a good fielder, but he is an MLB hitter with more power than a lot of guy. You are expecting him to perform like he did in 2007 and/or basing your expectations on his salary.

Yeah, Adam Dunn doesn't suck either.

I will take it that bringing up the Sox is you admitting you are wrong. Good talk.

No, I was pointing out that if you think Soriano is an "MLB hitter" with "more power" who would be picked up if cut in a second means you also think Adam Dunn is the same thing.

I think both of them suck and their careers are over. They should both be playing in the Independent Leagues.

Don't put words into my mouth.

big difference...dunn makes less money...is younger...won't kill you at first and will hit 30 plus homers this year and an obp close to 375.....soriano makes more money..is listed at 36, probably 38..kills you in the field and will have an obp closer to 275 and hit 20 homers.

This is what Chicago baseball has to look forward to this year:

a battle of Who is Less Mediocre [ had an accounting class once with... ] : Soriano or Dunn!

Soriano is not that all that bad when you just look at his stats. It's when you look at his contract that he looks terrible in comparison to the mvp caliber stats those kind of $$ should produce. He will hit over .25O, with 25 hrs and have 85 rbi if he stays healthy and gets a years worth of ab's. You can do a whole lot worse than that. His contract should produce .3OO 4O and 11O and a ring.

Is the zero broken on your keyboard? That seems like an important key to lose.

Why yes....yes it is...and it fucking sucks. I thought that the capital O looked acceptable.
