Hanley is the worst of the two. He's smarmy but more of a dork than anything. Mully seems like a good-natured guy. It's not a great show but I find it amusing at times in the car. More than that Mike and Mike shit. Greenie, Sheftie, Stats, Stink, Fucknuts, Grabass, Cum Dumpster. All these fucking loser nicknames. And they get the worst puds in the business to sub for them when they are gone like Buster Olney and Doub Gotlieb.

Greenberg: Ok, everyone, Mike and Mike. Welcome back. Hey Golic?

Golic: Yes, you metrosexual girly man?

Greenberg: You're a dumb fat fuck you know that?

Golic: Oh yes I do. I got the memo to play up my lardassness and lack of education to appeal to your average working class stiff.

Greenberg: Uh, huh. Mike and Mike. ESPN Radio. I recall that memo. I was also ordered to act like an overly groomed sackless bitch to corral the white collar college-educated types who don't know the difference between a flathead and a Phillips screwdriver.

Golic: Flathead? I once ate a 45 pound flathead catfish raw.

Greenberg: God, you are fat. Big fat fatty.

Golic: SHEET...OF...INTEGRITY!

Zizou-The exchange you created there is pretty fair. The schtick that they deliver regularly these days has grown very old. The show would be far better if they concentrated on the sports and would skip a lot of the personal shots aimed at humor. They have a great advantage over M & H in that they get outstanding guests (because of ESPN), yet I find Mully and Hanley's show superior. I think a lot of the reason for that is connected to your point about the stale barbs they throw at one another.

Here's what u guys don't realize. Radio just like music, movies,tv and sports are an results oriented business always have always will be. Radio ratings have been around since the days of jack benny and fibber mcgee and molly when ratings system was hooper. You have to look at ratings from management eyes. All they care about if the ratings are good. They care if they are doing well in their demo audience in their respected market. They don't care if they personally think the show sucks they just care about how they are doing in the ratings, and that that really matters.

True.

I have a guy who works for me who no one in the company likes. He is very outspoken & a bit strange. Everyone tries to avoid him & his phone calls. But... his customers love him & his sales numbers are great. So I put up with him because he makes his sales plan every year, & makes bonus, which helps me make plan & bonus. As long as his numbers are good, I'm happy. So yea, in radio it is all about ratings & advertising dollars. However, I am convinced that the Score could change the entire lineup from 5AM to 10PM, & improve ratings. Then again, why should Mitch take that chance? His goal is to keep his job & taking a risk isnt something he wants to do. All great businessmen are risk takers though.

The numbers show that M&H are the real money makers for the station, not the lazy, talentless windbag, Mac. Little wonder CSN wouldn't hire you Mac. Now go back to ripping on them. LOL

from CRM
"For the Morning Drive time slot (6:00am-10:00am) for the ages of 25-54, the top stations in March are the very same ones, in the very same order as they were in February. As always, WTMX-FM's "Eric & Kathy Morning Show" was #1, this time with a 7.1 share. WBBM-AM/WCFS-FM is #2 with a 5.4 share. WDRV-FM/WWDV-FM is #3 with a 4.9 share. WOJO-FM is #4 with a 4.8 share. #5 is WSCR-AM with 4.6 share. For Women 25-54, their favorite morning station is WTMX-FM (with a huge 10.7 share), and for Men 25-54, their favorite is WSCR-AM (with a 7.0 share). Both The Mix's Eric & Kathy and The Score's Mully & Hanley seem to have a lock on their female & male audiences, respectively."

I honestly have no idea who Eric and Kathy are.

The bottom line is, they're better than Mike and Mike, and a lot less offensive than Mike North. They regained the ratings that Murph had (and North destroyed,) and they beat Mike and Mike.

Everything else is personal taste

IIRC, Murph would leave at 8AM for his 'day job' and B&B would take over. They weren't able to hold the lead Murph handed them.

However, one doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that a Cubs fan would draw ratings in this city (even in December).
