I'm really pumped about this show. Armando Iannucci has been responsible for pretty much the best political satire ever on television with The Thick of It (and the spin-off movie In the Loop), and I'm happy he's finally gotten a show in the US. Plus the cast for this looks solid with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and the return of Buster.

I want to be excited but I think it's going to be really bad.

I was only half watching while on the phone so will have to give it another spin but I wasn't too impressed initially.

It was okay. Most pilots of shows suck, so I'm willing to give it at least 1 more try.

This was fine. Glad to see a lot of the usual Iannucci features on a US show.

Really? After watching the pilot of that and Girls I want to cancel my HBO subscription. I hoping for more but had a feeling it would be bad.

I liked it. Thought it was amusing and for a pilot I thought it was pretty well put together.

They tried way too hard. Saying "fuck" just to say "fuck" is nonsense. Im with Nas. This sucks. One season and done!

sometimes vulgarity is used as a device. i think that's belvidere's point. it's just thrown in for the sake of it. just by the previews the show looks like it's full of effort...a lot of modern sitcoms are really suffering from this. i don't know what it is, but there's very little confidence in today's comedies. everyone seems to have to force the joke. i don't know why...

Maybe you haven't been introduced to the former White House Chief Of Staff that is now the Mayor....

I thought episode 3 has been the best so far. Also while I'm sympathetic to the idea that shows can overdo the cursing or lean on it in place of actual humor, I don't think it necessarily applies to this show.

So this became one of the funniest shows on TV this season.

First season is funny as shit. Haven't had a chance to check out the second season what with Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Orphan Black, Happy Endings, Battlestar Galactica. Shit I watch too much TV.

It is watchable but not hilarious. Best episode was when she had to go to Helsinki on a foreign affairs
mission and gets groped by the presidents husband.
