Hasn't Gavin Floyd been close at least twice as well? I know once he took a no hitter into the 9th, but I don't remember if he was going for the prefecto or not.
I also think one of Javy Vazquez's first starts at the Cell for the Sox, he took a perfecto into the 7th or 8th.
