Indeed.

I was never on that bandwagon, and I never understood why he has become a crowd favorite. He's had two good games, and shot them out of multiple others. People also mention that game he started against the Wizards, and that just makes my head want to explode. He took 28 shots, and shot somewhere around 35%. He's shooting below 40% on the year. Send his ass back to China.

I would settle for the D-League.

He started off fine yesterday but it was downhill the rest of the way.

He's a nice guy to have around but when his shot isn't falling someone needs to tell him to stop shooting. In fact he's always looking to shoot. Run the offense should be the instructions.

I agree, and that's the problem. I could see if he had an outside touch like Ben Gordon or something, but his shot is just not that good. Way too streaky to be such a chucker.

I agree. Ben Gordon isn't Ben Gordon anymore. Neither is Hinrich.

I heard Jonathan Hood mention this on ESPN Radio 1000's "Bulls Buzz" after the disappointing loss. It turned out that John Lucas III was the Bulls' leading scorer in last night's 83-72 loss to the Heat with 16 points, despite 5 of 16 shooting from the field. Hood said that when JLIII is your leading scorer, it's not good.

He's actually shooting better on 3-pt field goals than on 2-pters.

3's: 52/133 = 39.1%

2's: 81/209 = 38.8%

I don't think he's really shot the bulls out of any games, since the only games where he's taken lots of shots are the ones where Rose was a DNP, and they had no other guard that was doing anything. But yeah, you obviously don't want him playing any more than 5 minutes in a playoff game. And you don't want him doing anything but shooting open 3's, which he does do well.

For a guy that was anything but a certainty to even make the roster, Lucas has been outstanding. He has been THE deciding factor in a couple wins and those wins will be the reason the Bulls capture the top seed in the playoffs. I agree that his participation in the playoffs will be minimal though. With C.J. Watson playing better again, it's likely that Lucas will see little PT. Every time I see him play now, I think of Stacy King's description of him as Carlton-singing Tom Jones' hit "It's not Unusual".....he does bear a resemblance.

The thing about JL3 that is remarkable is his courage. He had no qualms about facing off against LeBron James. He shot over him, he took a charge on him and he got in his face when LeBron laid him out on a pick. This coming from a guy who's listed at 5'11" and 165 lbs. I don't think in a game-winning situation that JL3 should automatically shoot the ball. But he would have no hesitation to hit the shot if they threw him the ball. JL3 is an every man's type player. He's not a huge beast like Boozer, but he was not shy playing against the Heat like some of the guys on the Bulls roster. He's like Mighty Mouse out there. Unfortunately, JL3 will not see the floor in the playoffs unless it's a special circumstance.

Mufucka, Shawn Respert did the same thing. He was bad too. What's your point?

Seriously, what was wrong with that post? Your response was over the top. I know you wouldn't like someone doing that to you.

My response was a little harsh. That was during a bad part of my work day.

Sorry to Mini Ditka.
