He's been an improvement over awful, I agree.

I don't believe LaHair would be that much of a downgrade.

Irrational celebration of a minor victory. It's the Cubbie way.

I don't think anybody truely believe's this team is gonna contend in 2012. But winning their first series of the season and doing it against their biggest rival....thats good for some celebration. There probably won't be a lot to celebrate this season, we have to enjoy what we can. 2 walk off wins VS the Cards in 2 nights.....that works.

I wasn't talking about us. I'm stupid happy.

But they're mobbing each other and dumping water buckets like they just clinched a .500 record.

I noticed it more yesterday. It did seem a bit over the top- Act like you expect to win a bit more....it comes off like they were the 1980 USA hockey team that just defeated the Russians.

If this team sniffs anything close to .500 ball all year, that will be "something" BUT I think the hitting will warm up.

Lopez cleared waivers as I figured he would. He is back in AAA. Glorious.

The reaction from Cardinals fans over this has been pretty absurd. If you'd like to see the underbelly of Cards nation, follow @BestFansStLouis.

The fact that they're pissed enough to chide umpires for handing them these losses blows my mind.

It's the fucking Cubs! It's April! You've won 2 world series in the last decade! If the Cubs beat you in April 138-0, who gives a fuck? This shouldn't even merit a response anymore from the Cardinals fanbase.

 Yeah I hear ya man. Folks down here are pissed like they just lost a world series game. I keep telling them they will get some calls a long the way that will allow them to win a game they shouldn't have.

Whatever. Fuck it. That was fun last night. I was excited.

Really starting to look like Shark might be a very serviceable #3ish starter for the Cub based on the small sample size.

Great to see two nice wins by the Cubs! (and losses by the Cardinals).

I'll have to change by avatar to a baseball one soon.

I was glad to see Dale pull him when he did. It's his first full season as a starter, so they need to watch pitch counts/innings.

Not bad. And I mean 'not bad' completely relative to this Cubs team.

Or a guy who lied about his bowling average, and bragged about beating women and the elderly.

Apologist lives in a subdivision that seems to steal his newspaper every morning.

Is this game on WGN this afternoon?
