Big mistake, Kid. You don't ask questions 'round these parts...

Still playing the victim. And failing at it.

Here is the original post:

World Series or bust!

Those were based spring training stats. Since then, many people have given updates about Dunn's season. Some accentuate the positive, some accentuate the negative. I tend to post his avg., among other things. Right now he stands at .231 after two consecutive (maybe more?) games with at least a hit. He is a on a "hot streak".

I haven't "lashed out" at anyone in any thread today.

And you again are displaying your miraculous ability to interpret the emotions of a person through a post on a sports board. It's a gift.

It sounds to me more like Spanky is arguing that Dunn is not "Back". Which I certainly would agree with. He doesn't seem to say that 2011 needed to be erased. It just sounds to me like he disagrees about Dunn being "Back".
Yeah, he'll need to crank 40 homers and have OPS high side of 600 for a sustained period before I'll agree that he's "back". In the meantime, he appears to be having a less bad year than last year.

This is pretty much it. If he has a good season - all season long and ends up with good numbers, and then has his current stats at this point next year, a strong case could be made that he is then "back".

Usually when there is a heated debate and you chime in with, "I agree with _____", I believe you do this simply to incite the other poster. Just another way to keep the bad feelings going. A lot of people don't notice when you do this, but even Nas called you out on it a couple of weeks ago.

And you still won't say he is back. You will point at his .245 average and say he was bad again, even if he ends up with 40 Hrs and 90+ RBI

He probably isn't going to hit 40 homers. It's likely that nobody will, so I don't think that's a real good criterion for deciding whether he's "back". But I've got as much money as anyone wants that his OPS is above .750 for the season.

Strikeout swinging.

But that K did look a little better than all of your strikeouts while mult-hunting, so I'd say you're back.

Wait - you mean nobody on the Sox will hit 40 or nobody in all of baseball?

Matt Kemp has like 38 already.

In all of baseball. Vegas says nobody will hit forty. Now, somebody might, but they're usually pretty good about that sort of thing. I'd bet right now Kemp doesn't make 40.

Look at the '06 Cards, '07 Rockies, and '11 Cards. All you want is to get in the playoffs, that's it. Anything can happen then.

Maybe you should actually start praying for a brain, you sure could use one.

 So if the Sox are a game up in July and a couple of games over 500, you wouldnt dump Dunn, Rios or Peavey for the right deal? Dunns 083 vs lefties. Rios is ....Rios and you gotta trade Peavey before he breaks down and is worth nothing. He will break down.

I did pray for a Bulls victory last Saturday and Satan took D Rose down. Thanks Jesus!

You move any of them at any time if a steal of a deal is offered.

Still;

If Dunn gets a strikeout tonight, he will set the all-time MLB record with a strikeout in 27 consecutive games.

If?

Still top ten in the league in HRs. Still slugging .513 and getting on base at a pretty good clip. Keep rooting against him, spany. Seems to be working so far!!
