This could be a short show today. When Berns flip flops on his whole "minutes" and Olympics thing it's gonna be a long show.

That was a nice copout from Berns.

"Until he is extended, he hasn't been extended."

Top notch.

He is taking the Boers route there.

Splendid!

Look in the mirror Dan.

look, the Bulls season is OVER. next season is lilkey OVER too unless they pick up some top notch FA in the offseason. even talking about these playoffs is as waste of time. Cub talk is more relevant at this point.

If Tom Thibodeau's contract hasn't been extended, or if the option for next year has not been picked up yet, what are the Bulls waiting for? If I remember correctly, Thibodeau only got a 2 year contract with an option for a third when the Bulls hired him for a bargain basement price for NBA head coaches.

Berns tried to get some info out of KC Johnson yesterday regarding Thibs status with the Gar/Pax. KC didn't bite. Now, Thibs isn't guaranteed for next year, fueling the fire Thibs will be gone.

Look, what are you supposed to write about or talk about at this point. The gloom and doom stuff filled the weekend papers. Sorry you weren't on at that time. Now, the only thing to write about is what has to happen to still go deep in the playoffs. Of course we are going to be fed some fluff.

On the flip side, Berns is showing the fire and passion I expected yesterday. GIVE ME MORE CALLERS!

They're waiting for him to leave Joakim Noah, Carlos Boozer, and Luol Deng in the game during a blowout loss to the Heat where Udonis Haslem takes liberties with all three. At that point, they feel they can shame him into taking a low ball home team offer.

Well, I thought something would be done by now, even before the Derrick Rose torn ACL with Coach Thibs' contract. It's unfortunate that he didn't get NBA Coach of the Year for the second straight year, because Thibodeau still has a great deal of leverage and Uncle Jerry knows it. The last thing this franchise needs is another unnecessary soap opera involving a guy who is a departure from Vinny Del Negro as a head coach and Thibs knows what the hell he's doing.

maybe if Thibs had had a big fat guaranteed contract he wouldn't have worried about winning games so much and he wouldn't have played rose. blame JR.

Just as bad as "Don't Stop Believing" when the White Sox won it all in 2005.

I agree with you on that. Wasting time with the Monday morning QB stuff. It happened, get over it.

Not that Uncle Jerry, Dave. He's the man who signs Coach Thibs' check, Jerry Reinsdorf.

I get them confused sometimes. (My uncle got my grandmother to subsidize all his presents by threatening to leave and join another family.)

OK. Where are these people that are saying the Bulls are better off with DRose not on the team? I have never heard this other than like 3 stupid caller and Skip Bayless.

I am sick of hearing this as I believe outside of the few perpetually "slow" this thought does not exist.

I am seeing/hearing that the Bulls can still compete, but to win everything has to go right for them. That's it. This might even be a stretch, but it is not crazy talk.

This is crazy talk.

Not at all. Crazy talk might be to think they can win a title. This team can definitely compete well into conference finals with smart play and a lucky break or two. It happens. Winning 15 more games is probably crazy talk.

But who is saying they are better off now? Buehler?

This is crazy talk.

They will still make the conference finals. They will most likely lose to the Heat, but I am not going to ignore the rest of the playoffs. I'll just hope for the best, and enjoy what it is.

They'll be heavy underdogs vs. Miami if it came to fruition. If the Heat get knocked off before the EC Finals, then what?
