Look at Dempsters numbers and tell me how he is 0-1. Baseball is really unfair sometimes.

Cubs are:

23rd in runs scored, 23rd in total hits, 24th in RBI, and dead last in home runs.

Samardzija has been below average on the road. Bronson Arroyo has owned the Cubs at the Great American Ballpark. So tonight doesn't look promising. Tomorrow seems 50/50. Hopefully Demp can get the win on Thursday.

At least Northside_Dan found enough time this series to actually make a thread... Pfft, trying to pass off like he has something better to do...the nerve.

:D

Met a new someone. Been spending lots of time with her where the Cob/Phils thread took a backseat.

Will Al Boreland and Soto make it out of this series alive on the roster? Hopefully not.

Cubs take 2 out 3.

Warm weather + band box ballpark = Cubs get at least 4 HR's this series, including one by Soriano.

The madness of those two being on the roster must end sometime, no? I can't take much more.

Campana is from Cincinnnati and has played well in front of his family and friends.

Heavy thunderstorms + wind gusts = tough to get the game in.

He started to labor some in that 7th and with his spot due up sooner than later I fear its Marmol time.

He's at 84 pitches through 7. Tough call but I'd have Dolis ready.

Camp was up. I would give shark the 8th and then hand it over to maine or dolis.

Except what is really going to happen is Maine will go back to AAA and Kerry Wood will come off the DL tomorrow.

DeJesus plays good D. Good trade candidate when BJax is ready. BJax, Campana and LaHair in the OF and Rizzo at 1B.

Not sure if Maine has options left. I'd rather they dump that rule 5 Castillo kid.
