Fuck off shakes. There are no spoilers in there and the book thread is for people that have already read them. Eat my ass with a side of aurochs.

Yeah. He's done that a few times already, whether they are true or not is doesn't matter

Please stop those, IMU.

This is a thread for the HBO TV show, which everyone agrees is totally separate from the books.

Now that the entire plot is changed in the TV show, that knowledge has no effect.

Same as when shakes always mentioned that Carl (or someone) would kill Shane when we were discussing The Walking Dead Season 1.

You're being a huge a douchebag.

Please stop with the spoilers.

Thanks.

Good point Shakes. I would be very interested to know how Martin feels about this season. I would guess that he is happy as a pig in shit. If that is the case then he doesnt really have a clue how the books are going to conclude. That sucks because he put a hell of a foundation down with the first 3.

Martin and his publishing company have to be seeing a nice spike in sales of all the books. I had
never even heard of these books before the show came out so I am just liking it for what it is and
kind of filling in some of the gaps by what you guys have discussed about the original storyline.

TBone ignores my posts :(

I have pushed these books for years on this board!! YEARS!! :P

In Jiggets voice ---- But I never learned how to read!!!

I do read your posts but had no real context if you had talked about those books before the series came out.

You obviously don't know what a spoiler is. A real spoiler would be me telling you that Dany isn't actually the rightful heir of the Targaryen throne, as Rhaegar's son Aegon is actually still alive and also in exile.

Use your brain please, if Hank is saying that in book 7 the dragons will cross the ocean it doesn't take a long leap of logic to realize they don't cross the ocean in books 3, 4 or 5.

Some people hate surprises.

Look - point is this situation is completely identical in every way to The Walking Dead tv thread. shakes would always post 'what happened in the comics' after every episode. shakes told us about Shane, about the Farm, about the Prison, about Michonne, etc. The show didn't follow the source material by the letter, same as this show doesn't follow the source material by the letter. He can't get mad at anything I post about the books or he'd be a gigantic fucking hypocrite.

Also, this was the first truthful spoiler I posted. Tyrion stealing one of Dany's dragons and setting fire to King's Landing and Casterly Rock does not happen in the books (though it looks like it might in the TV show.)

;)

Look - You're being a fucking douche.

I don't care about the Walk Dead TV show, this is the HBO Game of Thrones thread that people who have/haven't read the books or have/haven't watched the show.

You're being a douchebag.

Pleaese stop.

We have a spoiler thread for the WD which is where I posted anything that was a spoiler. Just like there is a book thread here.

The only hypocrite is you as has been pointed out by several people i this thread.

Page 2 of The Walking Dead TV thread. You posted that during the very first few episodes of Season 1. That was just the first of many hints and spoilers you dropped over the 20 something pages of that thread.

Good day.

I haven't ruined anything related to the TV show. As was told to me COUNTLESS times, the TV show is not the books.

Please stop being petulant and just delete it. Not cool.

OK, this must be a bit. Sorry if anyone saw that. We are giving IMU a choice between taking the black and banging Brienne.

Flawed thinking Hank. An apology shouldn't be considered kissing ass. It is just that to function in a polite society you don't go around calling people douchebags. It makes the other guy less likely to work with you. He hurt my feelings.

Posting the spoiler and then poorly rationalizing why you posted it is why I'm calling you a douchebag.

Please try not to purposely ruin and spoil something people enjoy.

Thanks.

Ok thoughts on the episode:

- Theon's awkward taking of Winterfell was done to perfection. It was just as awkward in the book, and they portrayed that sense of dismissive confusion well. We really got to see Theon dig his hole deeper with every word.

- I forgot just how much I missed Joffrey. He and Tyrion don't get much screen time, but their dialogue after the riots was fantastic.

- The Arya/Tywin scenes continue to be some of the best of the season. Charles Dance's portrayal has always been spotless, and while it pisses off the book purists, I feel like it's been a tremendous adaptation.

- Sandor ripping out entrails? Awesome.

- Osha's body wasn't too shabby, although I can't imagine the smell. Theon's gone from fucking Roz to a sea-wench to a stank-ass wildling kitchen servant. Time to upgrade, brother. You're a Prince now.

- Snow/Ygritte finally got underway, albeit a bit differently than the books, but still. Ygritte doesn't look like I envisioned her, but she's not too far off. Work that ass, girl. Grind up on my black fur codpiece a little more and maybe I'll sheathe my bastard sword in your wildling skeez.

- Finally we get to see the ever-warping Case of the Missing Dragons. I perfectly understand why they're doing this, and I'll explain more in the book spoilers thread. For those who are butthurt over the changes, get over it.

IMU being a douchebag simply for the sake of being a douchebag is simply too shocking for me to process. I never would have thought that was possible.

Standing Ovation!

-They are nailing the Hound/Sansa stuff as well. They have a unique relationship and I believe the show is doing an excellent job showing it with the limited screen time.
-Arya's scene with Balish and Tywin was awesome. Especially when she spilled the wine and Balish started to study here face. Good stuff.
- I love how they are doing Theon Grejoy...you can just tell he is trying so damn hard to make a mark....yet he just comes off as a confused, bumbling boy. Loved the beheading scene, brutal and sad.
-Tywin is great. A practical man who doesn't succumb to the emotions and fuck ups like Joffrey/Cersei etc. He didn't even want the war. Very deep.

That isn't Stannis. I told you that last week. That is Tywin Lannister

God dammit, I always get them mixed up for some reason. My brain is broken.

Agree with all of that.

But I will continue to not understand nor like the Daenerys arc.

Last night was a good episode despite all the changes. But the very last scene annoyed me. I am curious to see where they are going with it. Glad to see my old buddy the Hound getting some screen time. And I just knew Theon would fuck that beheading up. He's Theon. I wonder how they are going to introduce the Bastard of Bolton now that much of the Winterfell plot has been streamlined.
