Good for him. For admitting he has a problem, not the alcohol abuse.

Im sure it stems from his Eric and Kathy gig. Having to act like those 2 are entertaining would be enough to drive anyone to drink.

I bet Mac could get a shoutout thread too if he looked like a poor-man's AC.

You think it's cocaine and he's saying booze cuz that sounds better? Maybe.

No. I have no reason to believe it was drugs. I don't know why you would take it to an extreme. Simply consider what likely happened given the few facts presented.

Do you believe he was just going home and drinking when everyone was asleep...even though his shift ends at 10 pm and his wife probably does not work.

She might still have to get up early if they have kids.

You make a good point. I can see him getting away with a nightly bender every now and then while she sleeps. But he's saying it was every day. Wouldn't she notice the empty bottles?

Unless, of course, he has bottles on display that he doesn't drink from. And he has a stash of hidden bottles that he then puts in his car and throws them in the WGN dumpster when he goes to work.

But that's tough to pull off every god damn day. So, you're right, she knew.

Wife tipped me off that Eric (Mix morning guy, friend of Suppelsa's) was gonna talk about it this morning. From what Suppelsa told him it was the "started off with a glass of wine / drink after work" thing then progressed where the glass was a bottle and half. He was hiding the empties and somebody in his family found them. That's when he made the call to go to rehab.

I suppose it could very well be true that a good looking, wealthy, relatively young guy who works in an area with several pick up bars on each block that are attached to hotels went home and drank a bottle of wine by himself after his spouse went to bed at an unusually early hour each night and reached the determination on his own that it constituted alcoholism.

Not to nitpick , but WGN's studios are not downtown, they're near Addison and Western. I wouldn't rule out a hot cleaning lady, though.

What? I haven't made a statement other than it sure seems like something is missing from the official story that may cause the shoutout to be put on hold

Ill bet a lot of you are assuming that good dolphin is hinting that Suppelsa may have cheated with some hot woman and thats why it happened.

Are we sure its a woman?

Wrigleyville, WGN, Eric and Kathy.....lotta gayness there

I'm not really hinting at it. The story is just wrapped up into a neat little package...too neat.
