i agree; "the howling" and "american werewolf" suffer a bit from pacing or tone problems but they do feature some of the best looking werewolves and transformation scenes.

"event horizon" would've made a cool "outer limits" episode. does have some very chilling moments and i love the premise.

Two scenes from Jaws: 1. Dreyfuss underwater searching the boat and the dead guy pops out. 2. Brodie shoveling the chum and the shark appears

I liked Event Horizon but really only for Sam Neill. He's so ridiculous in it, much like his performance in In the Mouth of Madness, which used to scare me when I was like 14, but now I think is funny.

I remember being real young and seeing the Blob remake and this kitchen cook guy was plumbing the sink and the Blob just shot out and grabbed his face and pulled him in to the drain whilst raining a shower of blood on a screaming waitress. Scary shit at the time but good for a laugh now.

I agree with No. 1. During one theater viewing, the film reel broke right as the season started. When the movie resumed, that was the first scene back.

A close second is the basement scene at the end of the original "Psycho."

Mine goes to Children of the Corn when Isaac returns from the dead and seeks revenge on Malachi.'

"He wants you too Malachi...he wants you too Malachi." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwtYKlaFDKw

That movie is freaky beyond words. I guess growing up next to cornfields did not do me any favors.
