I actually think he'd be a major upgrade at SG for the Bulls, though he's obviously not available.

They won't devote the entire show to the heartbreaking Bulls/Sixers' Game 6. In fact, Uncle Jerry's other team, the White Sox, will be a big chunk of the 2nd half of today's show.

GM Ken Williams tries to explain what in the hell the Sox are doing with Chris Sale, and whatever the hell pitching coach Don Cooper told "Mully & Hanley" yesterday that made as much sense as the news last Friday regarding Sale being sent to the bullpen and questions that still remain regarding Sale's elbow. You can bet there will be talk about that this afternoon in the back half of this program.

*2:40p: The Tribune's White Sox Reporter Mark Gonzales
*3:30p: "The Second Half"

Laurence Holmes has "Xfinity Feedback Live" from U.S. Cellular Field starting at 6p in advance of Chris Rongey's White Sox Radio Network pregame for White Sox/Royals. Both Laurence & Chris will originate from the Gold Coast Ticket Club inside the ballpark. Unfortunately, there's no Friday night show scheduled with Drinky after the Sox game. So hey the Bulls are really screwed with the salary cap, huh. I mean, they don't have to be, but with the No Luxury Tax rule, the Bulls have the "internal cap" of a small-market team.

They are pretty much screwed.

The only contracts that come off the books are Scalabrine, JL3, Mike James, and C.J. Watson (Team-Option). They were all making near the minimum. Asik is also up for a new deal.

I don't think he dislikes the Sox. But I truly believe if one of the two could win a World Series he'd want it to be the Cubs.

Also, everything about going to a Sox game is easier, The tickets are right in his office. He can park right in front. And I'm sure his wife and daughter prefer the restrooms.

Based on what I saw on Comcast SportsNet this morning, Brian Scalabrine, Mike James & John Lucas III are unrestricted free agents, Omer Asik is a restricted FA, while the Bulls have options for Kyle Korver, C.J. Watson & Ronnie Brewer. There's a pretty good chance only 1 of them returns because of the Bulls' financial structure.

I think Korver and Brewer have player options. They will probably both come back.
