Also, according to KC Johnson on the Mac show, the collective bargaining agreement limits Asik's salary to $5million next year whether that be to another team or the Bulls.

In that same interview, K.C. feels Omer Asik & Brian Scalabrine will be back on board. This despite Mac's complaint that Scalabrine is nothing more than a glorified coach, a la Jack Haley back in the day.

It is insane that Rose makes about as much as Carlos Boozer and not that much more than Deng. I know where he cleans up is sponsorship money for shoes and ACT prep classes and whatnot, but still, I wonder how much the top 10 or so players lose out on each year.

When Rizzo and Jackson get here and the Cubs are on their threepeat in 2018, I don't expect you to say, Oh, I hope the Sox can get one now!" You're a Cubs fan. That's cool. It doesn't mean you hate the Sox necessarily, but you aren't pulling for them against the Cubs. I think if the Sox had a terrible team and the Cubs were contending, bernstein would pull for the Cubs in the Crosstown because, well, they can actually win a championship. That isn't what I call a Sox fan. Frank Coztansa isn't pulling for a Cub World Series. Good bless him. Abbatacola is never rooting for the Sox. God bless him too.

You've talked about the open market for players(ie no draft, salary cap and total free agency). It wouldn't shock me if under those rules in basketball that players like Rose and Lebron would be worth $40+ million a year.

So the Derrick Rose Rule is kind of screwing the Bulls. I don't know if the additional 5% he earned can be applied against the salary cap, but without the "rule", Rose could only make $14.5million. He is going to make $15.5million. Thusly cutting into $1million of available monies to provide another player.

Kinda sucks if this is accurate. Also, I haven't seen what the cap is expected to be next year.

I will always want the White Sox to win the World Series. However, my second choice would be the Cubs. The Cubs winning the World Series would be more interesting than the White Sox winning yet another one too.
