2 game series suck. The Sox have 2 of them this week. Why would you make a Chicago team fly out to Anaheim for less than 48 hours, only to come back to Chicago?

At least the Cubs are close to home, but still fuck the 2 game series.

The shift just cost them 4 runs. Put that in your statistical analysis. That was an easy double play on fat elvis if Barney wasn't playing on the right field foul line.

Doliz may not have a wide variety of pitches, but that sinking fastball has real nice movement and is quick enough too.

It really was. Due to the expectations of the season, the game felt bigger than it really was, but fun to watch throughout

I couldn't really watch & focus on the game because I was "fending off" a toddler most of the evening, but what I did see was the Cardinals made a lot of mistakes, the cubs left a ton of men on base, dempster got some run support and crapped the bed (no surprise to me), and the Cubs had 2 or 3 really shitty sacrifice bunt attempts including the stupid decision to have Castro bunt (double play).

Despite all that...the Cubs did win, and I'll take it. I want to see this team climb back to 500....maybe before the All Start break, and that will be an accomplishment IMO.

Its as backhanded a compliment as I can give the Cubs, but they aren't as awful to watch these days. Don't expect them to keep this up by any means but at least they are entertaining to watch lately.
