I am getting HBO for free for three months starting in June. Can anyone who has it tell me if all of the Pacific and Games of thrones episodes are on there?

I didn't see The Pacific on there but all the Game of Thrones should be out there.

Pacific, GoT, The Wire, Band of Brothers, they're all there with all episodes.

I'm on Season 1 of The Wire now.

It's a great feeling to go from having to answer the "You haven't seen The Wire yet?" comment in the face of great derision by the person asking the question to being the person asking others "You haven't seen The Wire yet?" with great derision.

That is the goal.

It's the Game of Thrones treatment.

From my experience, HBO has been the leader in sports, movie, and original series entertainment for the last few months. Showtime still have some pretty decent programming on their multiple channels, but I have always been a fan of the variety and cutting-edge mentality of the shows offered on HBO.

Once you become an HBO subscriber, you can access almost every episode of every HBO show online at HBO GO. The On Demand choices offered through cable packages is usually limited, and mostly only includes current seasons, or select episodes of old shows.

Sorry, I was also speaking of HBO GO, not On Demand.

Is the Wire really that good? I tried watching it a couple years ago and gave up after the first episode, thought it was boring.

Yes. I think it took about 3 or 4 episodes to get really good though. Lots of introductions and groundwork for the rest of the series being laid at the beginning.

Does it hold up over its entire run? Does it end satisfyingly or is the rug pulled out from the viewer like Deadwood, Rome and just about every other HBO show?

Shakes probably won't like it. Features a lot of blacks.

I don't mind them so much from afar.

Yes, especially the first three seasons. If anything, I think some people were a little bit disappointed with the last season but that is mostly because they delivered such excellence for the rest of it that people expected too much.

Watch the first season and you'll have your answer. The next two seasons are probably better than that one too.

THanks Guys. I have had Showtime for the past two years and none of the original stuff really caught my attention.

Dexter is on Showtime. Nurse Jackie and House of Lies are pretty good shows, as well. Weeds was good, but now it's bad. But, I have made it this far, I can't quit on it now.
