Just saw a story on CNBC that said one-third of all divorce filings explicitly state Facebook as a cause/factor. Interesting...all those former flames reconnecting?

I always think of it like this

In 1990 a guy could have a harmless joking flirtatious relationship with the big titted receptionist and nothing would ever come of it. Wife doenst know. Its not real flirting going on anyway. All good.



Fast forward to present day. The receptionist is his friend on FB. The Wife checks her out. Then the receptionists starts posting things on his page. Nothing inapporpriate.

But now the wife is wondering "What does he do? Just fuck around with her all day at work?"



Just an example

A good friend of mine that was engaged and had a wedding date set for later this summer just had his fiance leave him recently for another guy.

I feel terrible for him, and he's obviously upset, but he really needs to step away from Facebook for a couple months while he deals with his grieving. It's becoming embarassing, and I really think I should say something, but he's always been the type of guy to just say whatever is on his mind on facebook (even when it's something you probably shouldn't share with the whole world). I'm not sure what to do.

I never did the FB thing. My wife had been using it, but all her friends were posting the most mundane things. She got tired of reading stuff that was of no importance. I guess if you're into other people's dirty laundry, there is some entertainment value. It is amazing what people are willing to put out there publicly. But being on FB for that reason just means your own life is boring.

I do remember about a year or two ago an old friend from high school got on facebook and proclaimed his financee was "a lying cheating whore" and that he hoped she died. When pressed on the matter it was revealed that the child that he thought was his, wasn't and he she knew all along.

Great thing you want to share with a bunch of people on facebook you barely know.

"Tell _______________ that the wedding he was invited to this Saturday is cancelled. If he has any questions he can call me".

Tell Wayne he can come over and hang out here since there is no wedding now!!

They are still together. He forgave her and he then went through some very rough things and she stood by him and helped him get back on his feet.
