So being a Cubs fan = meatball?

I even said it myself, citing TV ratings in an effort to dismiss a title win was shallow. I owned up to it. A meatball would not.

Obviously winning the world series is goddamn awesome, and I'd love for the Cubs to do that. This rebuilding process is part of what I believe will do that.

Yet Sox fans have derailed this thread into another pointless dick measuring contest because they feel like Kerry Wood should've been booed off of the field, and I'm the meatball? Please.

Ya know for all the jokes about Kerry Wood's 17? or whatever it is DL trips, he also came back that many times. Dude has had more than enough cash since 03.


He was a good starting pitcher for a few years. Then he came back and was a good closer for a team that won 97 games


Dissappointing, but not a bad career.

I stopped following baseball after the Sox won the series (per my long standing arrangement with God), but since the Sox won has there been a winner who had a more impressive post season performance than the Sox?

Each time the Cardinals have won a title it's apparently preceded with the greatest baseball ever played by anyone at any time. Otherwise maybe the Rockies of a years back, maybe?
