He came off cocky as hell. Throwing in an insincere "I love those guys" at the very end doesn't mean it wasn't cocky. Maybe I'm old school, but I think he should get a few skins on the wall before he rags on a guy who, like him or not, has been in baseball for more than fifty years.

He's an announcer, who has turned into a cartoon character. Some people like him, some dont.

I said that a kid that has had one good month in his career should get a few more skins on the wall, before he rags on a guy who was a player, GM, and broadcaster for more than fifty years. That's my opinion. You say that I am too defensive of Hawk. Couldn't I just say that you are too defensive of Samardzija?

I enjoyed Harry and Stoney a lot as a yout. They had their own style, and didn't sound like every other vanilla broadcaster out there. I feel the same about Hawk and Stoney. Not so much with Hawk and DJ. Growing up, we didn't have cable, so I watched a lot of Cubs games on WGN. We are talking about many years ago, when I was a child, and there were no message boards or sports radio stations, so I didn't hear a lot of ragging on Harry (by cracky). Maybe Im reading you wrong, but whether its a Democrat vs Republican thing, a Cub vs Sox thing, or a union vs management thing, you come off like your side is infallible.

And on the rare occassion you do admit to your side making mistakes, its accompanied by accusations to the other side.

I dont get that. No one or thing is perfect and certainly no Sports team, political party or Union is always right.
