Well, you answered a post of someone saying Dan Bernstein didnt OUT her being gay, so your post read like you were providing evidence to that conclusion.

Gotta watch the ol' context, SHARK

Here's the Monday game plan with Bernsy & Goff...

*3:30p: "The Second Half"

That's all they've got...for now anyway.

Laurence "Mr. Multimedia" Holmes is off, and they've yet to update The SCORE's schedule on CBSChicago.com. I have no idea who will follow these guys at 6p tonight with Laurence & the White Sox both off. Hub Arkush? Matt Abbatacola? Ben Finfer? The team of Joe Ostrowski & Connor McKnight?

Damn Berns and Goff sound as condescending as ever today. Talking about the White Sox

"Well we'll analyze if they have a chance at the division, and let you know how you should feel as fans. If say you can feel good so far, but don't get too happy."

I guess most of their show is telling fans how to feel but this is just ridiculous.

I haven't been listening, but according to the statistics/simulations that Bernstein loves to spout, the White Sox are the team most likely to win the division. He should be all in on this team!

I thought that came off fairly patronizing, but then I remembered who I was listening too and just

Nah I just found it funny that they were repeating the very ovvious.

"The San Antonio Spurs would best the Heat right now. They would BEAT the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals.

 No shit. They are just like espn, catching onto stories after they have become obvious.

This is the one Dan uses: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/odds/

Truth be told, during this crammed NBA regular season, nobody was talking about the San Antonio Spurs. When the NBA was brought up, even though the Spurs were winning, the Lakers, Clippers, Thunder, Nuggets, Magic, Heat, Celtics, Knicks & Bulls were among the teams that were mentioned before the Spurs. I don't think ABC is all that thrilled the Spurs are 4 wins away from a date in the NBA Finals.

Does that mean my link doesn't count? The page I listed is a Bill James based simulation.

ESPN also agrees that the Sox are most likely.

If you're citing it as evidence that "the statistics/simulations that Bernstein loves to spout [claim that] the White Sox are the team most likely to win the division," yes.

I've never heard Bernstein say that baseball prospectus is the only valid site. Multiple "playoff projection" sites say the Sox are the most likely to win.

Goff should never say anything about another show's guests again after listening to this drivel the past two hours. I think right now they'd love to have an interview with anyone, let alone Michael Irvin.

I'm not saying you're wrong. I think it would be an interesting discussion--throw a James algorithm at Dr. Stats and see if he can find a way to explain why it's inferior. My point is simply that you'll have to take it up with Bernstein.

Bernstein just told Goff to cook chicken for 50 minutes on the grill?

Unless he's talking about a whole chicken that's insane.

He'd just say "If that's what the numbers say that's what they say". Remember, they are just numbers.

Then, 2 days later he'll cite them like they are definitely accurate..

I wouldn't take any advice from Laurence Holmes on any topic.
