they might as well tear it all down and build something like Miller Park, with a retractable roof. That would be great for early spring games when it's cold, eliminate rain-outs and make it possible to use the ballpark for a greater number of other events.

Really?? Is that what a retractable roof does? Whew...I had no idea, thanks for this great information.

I know you are new here, but........

That's what Steve does. He supplies vital, usually unknown information to the masses. Without him, we'd be lost.

I'm thinking they may be the same person. I've never seen both of them in the same place at the same time. Have you?

Steve,

Unless they move to the suburbs or somehow have a multi-tiered field, how in the hell do you expect them to make the park bigger? Space is kind of at a premium in that area... c

They could leave the bleachers where they are, but extend the structure more towards Clark Street than it currently is. It's really not that tough to see how that could work. They could then have the building previously proposed as a Resturant/Hotel/Retail Shop attached to the ballpark as well. It might eat up a little of the parking lot, but a parking garage could also be constructed on the remaining space there, which could not only make up for those spaces lost, but allow for many MORE cars to be parked at the ballpark.
