Mercy. What a race. Great horse, and a great job to the owner, jockey, trainer, etc etc.

Seconded. No way that horse could have made up that ground but it happened. You could actually hear the screaming around the hood during the last few strides.

I've watched it a few times and I get chills every time I watch the home stretch.

I'll likely be betting against him, but the sport could really use a Triple Crown winner.

I don't watch a lot of horse races but the ones I have watched typically don't happen as if it were scripted. Bodemeister leads the majority of the race. I'll Have Another stays within striking distance. Speed was good but not crazy. Everything is set up as expected for the final stretch. The two best horses separate from the field. I'll Have Another in the final, what 15 yards, takes the lead and wins. What a great race. That final turn was just crazy. I'll Have Another looked like a freaking race car that downshifted for some more power.

We got to the performance early so we can catch the race . I said watch it, he will do it again and everyone was saying bodemeister. I bet he pulls a secretariat at the Belmont

That was 1973 when Secretariat won the Triple Crown. The last such horse to win the Kentucky Derby, Preakness & Belmont Stakes was actually Affirmed in 1978. Needless to say, it's been awhile since any horse had a chance to win all 3 races that make the Triple Crown. Other than that, the Belmont Stakes is just another race.

Ok, I was thinking the same thing as you, but I am still a novice at horse racing.

The latest and greatest horse who could, but will probably disappoint at Bellmont. I hope he wins though. The sport could surely use a triple crown winner, and I love the name.
