It's because he did drugs before but still thinks that certain drugs should still be illegal.

It's kind of like if someone drove drunk once but still thinks that drunk driving should be illegal.

I give up. I guess if you do something prior against the law you have to spend the rest of your life thinking that action should be legal. Hopefully Penn Jillette has never gone over the speed limit, otherwise, he'd be a hypocrite to think that going over the speed limit is illegal.

The last three presidents, a full 20 years worth of executive leadership, have admitted to taking illegal drugs. The laws were on the books for all three. So, no, it does not show the hypocrisy of a CERTAIN president. It shows the general hypocrisy of national leaders...and, of course, Penn states in the rant that he doesn't think it is hypocrisy.

The problem with Penn is that he throws out a jumbled mess of good thoughts in shotgun fashion. He presents topics worthy of deep discussion like states rights v. fedralism, inequity in law enforcement, the inexplicable success of Jimmy Fallon, etc. You could spend time on any of those topcis. He crunches them all together in a disjointed fashion so that it starts to sound crazy.
