It probably takes a few episodes before you really start to appreciate it. Otherwise, it's basically just a bunch of guys acting weird if you really have no context to judge them by.

The big problem with it, and you may not have noticed, is that it isn't funny, clever or humorous in the slightest.

And as a man who likes good TV, well, that's a big problem.

It seems like one of those shows you have to watch a few episodes of to get a feel for the characters and brand of humor. Seinfeld is the same way.

She doesn't dress like that on the show. If she did, I'd DVR every episode.

Plus, there's the whole "Blossom Factor" that negates anything that she brings to the table

Only comedy I've ever known to have a master physicist fact check the show.

She can be a bit two-faced, in my opinion. Times, like above, when she is smokin' hot and then times like....

Uh, ok. That doesn't really make anything "deep". Some body checks to make sure whatever the nerds are saying is accurate? Whoa, so many layers, like an onion!

Who gives a shit? Still a bad show.

True. I always felt that Seinfeld was a very weird show. Funny at times, but weird.

And Spanky, stop being a penis...Blossom is not hideously ugly. She's just unpretty.

Master Physicist fact-checking aside, it's basically a show all about people at various points on the autism spectrum. I don't care if they have their physics equations correct or not, that's hysterical.

Blossom (Mayam Bailik?) = not hot

Well, I never said it was deep. I said it was smart and clearly it is.

I get it may not be your thing but you can appreciate the uniqueness of a comedy show that bases itself around science and is very diligent about it.

I will ask you though which shows you think are more creative and unique? To me, 30 Rock and Community are probably the only two. Maybe Modern Family, but even though it's a great show it's fairly formulaic.

So you think she compares to Kaley? Wow. I think she's smokin. Blossom is hideous

I think spanky is saying Kaley's hotness is outweighed by Blossom's stockiness.

A "good" show doesn't necessarily need to be creative and unique to be worth watching and I certainly don't find "Big Bang Theory" to be either.

You guys are retarded, this is one of the best, if not the best, sitcoms on tv today.

I would've thought considering what a bunch of fucking nerds you all are that this show would be right up your alley.

If the show was good, funny and not terrible I am definitely sure that we would watch it.

Slow your roll, champ. I always figured there was a cultural disconnect that caused our opinions of women to diverge. This is the litmus (not lipid) test though. Blossom is a pretty good baseline for ugly. Not unpretty but straight out making babies cry and breaking mirrors ugly.

yeah but we aren't bookish nerds so the physics of the show is incomprehensible

If it were basic physics stuff I could probably follow along. But this seems like it's masters-physics level stuff. Way too complex.

there are some groan inducing jokes in every episode i've seen; i don't like most of the characters. but i do think the two main guys, sheldon and leonard, are good characters. sheldon is genuinely quirky and he's played brilliantly by parsons. and penny is just cute as hell.

i think my favorite element of the show is whenever will wheaton is on. sheldon vs. will is pretty funny to me.
