I know,I saw the clip for it. It looks pretty good, just surprised at the network that has it. Man,that shows you how some bad movies can kill a career. From the big screen to the History channel.

i don' think he is a good actor...jfk and untouchables and field of dreams and you can keep the rest....and he could easily be replaced in all three of those movies and it probably gets better.

I've never been a Costner fan either but he was good in that movie with Joan Allen from about 10 years ago. He was a former baseball player turned alcoholic. Something about her husband going missing. I've still never managed to sit through Dances with Wolves and I like to consider myself a movie guy.

Looks mildly interesting. I don't mind either Costner or Paxton, but something about it being on History Channel makes me not give as much of a shit as I could've.

I know right. Like when ESPN made that Bob Knight movie with Brian Dennehy. You knew it was going to bad.

"for love of the game". it was a good movie until the ending. but costner's always been good in baseball movies. it suits him. actually, he was good in "tin cup", too, so golf suits him as well i guess.

"dances with wolves" is a fantastic film but it's very hard to convince anyone of that who doesn't like costner or westerns. but it's one of the best representations of native americans in film.

Not bad so far. Some of the minor characters are a bit indistinguishable.

Tom Berringer looks kind of like M.C. Gainey in this role.

Finished watching all 3. I really enjoyed it. Being a fan of history, I suspect they relied too much on Johnse (thanks TP for correct spelling) instead of the economics side of the dispute, which was arguably a bigger deal. However, the whole story is about forgiveness. Basically the message at the end is that if you don't forgive, it'll eat you up. Pretty clear that the real climax of the movie was (SPOILER below)

When Anse comes back from the fishing trip with Johnse... and let's him go to Oregon.

What say you?

Johnse was his name.

And I agree with you.
