1 lb Oscar Meyer Bacon
Paper Towels

Remove bacon from package and separate. Line up strips on paper towel. Cover with another paper towel. Microwave on full power until cooked to desired crispness.

Bacon in regular oven also excellent. In both cases, it crosses the line of crispy to burnt very quick. Must watch closely.

I keep hearing (even from respected chefs like Jacques Pepin) that microwaving bacon turns out really good...I just can't bring myself to try it. I'm afraid my microwave will be trashed with grease, even using paper towels.

Any other advocates for microwaving bacon?

Microwave bacon is great. Just put 2 or 3 paper towels down, cover with another 2 or 3, and you're fine.

I have no idea...I always pan fry it myself, but Rachel Ray loves this.

It's easier with the precooked stuff they sell but it does.

So does making scrambled eggs in the microwave.

Microwaved scrambled eggs and bacon on a bagel was great in college.

I've read before that while most turkey product are ok, turkey bacon is actually a lot worse for you than regular bacon because how how over processed it is.

works great..but you need newspaper..like a 1/2 " of newspaper and after 5 minutes ..change greasy newspaper for fresh newspaper and paper towels.
