Remember when Bigfan had that big party planned for the posters? And when he was given enough shit for it he cancelled it? Why didn't we learn from that?

Dude I hate... absolutely HATE to say it but this forum is not what it was when I joined. It's changed dramatically for the worse over the last 3 years or so. I'm not blaming it on anyone in particular, in fact I'll accept responsibility for my part in the culture change yet again, but remember back 6 years ago, when we still were green here. Would you have seen 5 parody posts? Would you have gotten 2-3 pages of horseshit and some high horse mother with 10 goddamn colors in his sig telling you he feels sorry for you? Maybe I'm looking back on the board with nostalgia but something tells me it wasn't quite like that.

He's been taking a lot of shit for a long time and he still hasn't pulled the plug. hell, if he really had thin skin you'd have been Sin Binned a long time ago but he lets you go on, hell he seems to enjoy your spats. I know that the douchebag/ajent thing gave him that rep, and maybe it was deserved but there's a lot of whispers that there were behind the scenes conversations so who knows what was really said by and to whom? that's goiing to play a part in it.

I don't know Hank. Honestly the stupid parody threads are played the fuck out. Half the time, I have no idea it's a parody thread because I tend to sort with View Unread Posts or View Active Topics (IMHO the best way to get the new content and discard the old... especially via smartphone) and there's no way to know that there's 10 silly ass posts in that forum in a row.

My real frustration started when someone posted a question to the board and a small business owner had the balls to tell a guy to avoid the "gotta guy" (who essentially is a small business owner) and go with the big firm (who had earlier required multiple service calls to identify the trouble he himself was having). That kinda bothers me, and it's snowballed from there.

Hank, you do what you want to do with the place. It's yours to play with. Contrary to what the bozokitty says I am not telling you HOW to post, just expressing my frustration with what has been posted. I think you've also been upset in the past about joke replies to your posts and can probably sympathize if you think back.

For sure, I get bent out of shape as much as the next person once in a while on here. Most of the time for stupid shit or because I am pissed off about something else. We don't need to know every time you decide that the very thing you participate in is now hurting your feelings. The board is what it is. When you don't like it, it's best to just step away. Especially since it's hard to take any of this seriously when the person complaining does the same shit all the time. The "Yeah, I know I'm guily of it" shit doesn't do a damn thing. Not trying to be rude or dickish myself but I kept my mouth (fingers?) shut for most of it until I reached a boiling point. Truth is I'm really quite an honest person and when motivated I'll speak my mind truthfully.
My feelings aren't hurt. I'm just a little sick of some of the same memes and parodies and nonsense. For probably the first time in my 6 years of membership I've spoken publically about it. Some posters and I have spoken privately about the guys that post nothing but the meme joke, and I know that I'm not alone in that frustration.

I don't know if you read this when I posted earlier BUT if I knew you did AC/Furnace for a living,I know I would have posted "Check with Darkside" instead of my other opinion. The company that handles my heating/AC have done an excellent job for us for 25 years that I have lived here. The one guy that said we didn't have a freon issue was wrong. So one wrong answer vs. 25 years of commendable service. QBO is 100% correct. You don't like someone and of course you insult their intelligence yet your "angry" posts our covered with "MF this" and "F that". Yeah,you read like a real bright guy yourself.
