It's ONLY EXTENDED SPRING TRAINING games I know BUT wow.
First 4 games 3 (3 run) Home Runs, 3 Triples, 2 Doubles and a single.
There were concerns before the draft that he was a cocky punk which if you read reports from his home run trots may be true......but keep producing like that and you can do whatever the fuck you want.

Come on, RFDC. I'm just busting balls. But every time some shit like this comes up, the Cub fans will say "Sox fans do the same thing". It isn't true. Axelrod was perfect through at least 5 in Charlotte today. Nobody started a thread about it.

That was still kinda Jim Hendry, even though it was Tim Wilken.

Baseball America had Baez ranked as the seventh best overall position player and the fifth best high school player in the draft

He is another first round pick, yes I do expect ALL my first round picks to be major league players.

We will see where it goes.

Is there anything more magical to Cubs fans than a A propspect? He is still years away from the big leagues and the dashing of hopes.

Well she did write Babe I'm Gonna Leave You which was an awesome Led Zepplin song. So nomination supported!

I'm going to see if Baez is for real tonight when he and his Peoria Chief teammates take on the Kane County Cougars.

Baez just went yard and is 2 for 2. The bad news is that he has a tat of the MLB logo on his neck.

He had 3 hits and a great defensive play but he also swung at a 3-0 pitch with a 13 run lead in the 8th and promptly got drilled in the ribs on the next pitch. that coupled with a large MLB logo tattoo tells me he could very well be a huge douche...but a talented one.

John Arguello ‏@CubsDen
Baez with 2 incredible defensive plays in the hole. Last was a full extension dive and bullet throw to first.

Do you really not see the Cubs Minor League prospect thread or are you just an asshole who feels your thoughts on Baez deserve their own?

no it was in the morning

Finfer was full of his own bad thoughts yesterday, including saying the Sox will not average 40,000 sales because of a small fan base...OR IT COULD BE THAT CAPACITY IS LESS THAN 40K. That was a pure Jesse moment.

The Play I saw him make was sick. He used great range to get a ball deep in the hole and threw a laser to 1st that was on a line to the glove.

Good to see that they benched his ass for being an idiot and disrespecting his manager by swinging through the take sign and showing no class to the other pitcher by swinging at the 3-O pitch up 13 runs. He then entered the game after an injury and hit that mammoth 45O ft bomb. He will learn some humility in time....especially when he gets shit from every single player for having that gay ass mlb logo tatt that is clearly visable on the back of his neck. He is going to have to play a few seasons in the bigs at a high level before they stop busting his balls over that.
