Absolutely.

And we get BernSTINE reading the article verbatim now with smarmy remarks in between and Terry making noises and agreeing with everything. We are getting parenting tips as well.

Excellent.

And Terry saying "yeah" to everything Bernstein is saying.

Got back to the show in the middle of that article. What article is it? Is it online?

I rarely say this, or visit this section. Dan is exactly right.

I just want Haugh to call up.

Absolutely right about the mythological bullshit of high school football.

Haugh calling up would be a treat. Haven't had one of those since Whitlock.

Is this the David Haugh column Bernsy was not only referring in transition, but also took exception in his own column?

Why not blow in a call to Haugh, and let him explain his position?

Agree with the high-school football stuff and it would be awesome if Haugh called up.

I just don't understand the point of this whole charade.

Got a feeling this discussion will yield a few meatball callers. Mission accomplished, Dan!

I didn't know Haugh was from North Judson. They were/are crazy about high school football down there.

I sent a text to the station, and sent a tweet to Haugh to see if he will respond. He hasn't tweeted since last night, so Haugh will probably come up with some lame ass excuse about how he was out of signal since yesterday and did not hear the interview.

I'm sure parents are knee-deep in David Haugh columns scouring them for tips on how to raise their kids and how to make important health decisions for their kids.

The high-school football mythology etc is an interesting angle to explore but it is, as usual, drowned in BernSTINE's fervent need to pontificate and do the whole "Super Serious-BigBoyPants" act.

He'll give "The Joker's Wild," I mean CSN's "Chicago Tribune Live" the time of day before he calls these 2. Better yet, Haugh might call in the overly-caffeinated Mike Mulligan & Brian Hanley in the morning before he gives "B & B" an audience.

I said Electric. My mistake! (Though I guess they have one at 27th Street and that's almost reasonable)

I can't stand when the narrative these days is strictly to upset people. However, he's exactly right here. Make whatever jokes you want, but I was a fairly talented tennis player in high school. I bought in on the program, and a different way of living life, just like football players did. Dan's point is you don't have to slam your brain into other kids to become successful and belong to something.

 That was my thought as well.

I would be very interested in hearing Haugh and Bernsie talk about this on the air. I can see both sides of it.

The electric meets up with the Rock in blue island

Its convenient. Previously you'd have to take the Rock into lasalle st then backtrack on the redline.

David Haugh reads this board, and I think he's a little girl. No way he would call to defend himself. Look at the little girly columnist. Fishing, baiting meatball mode off

Don't underestimate yourself SHARK. RPB started it as a joke, but it's true. They all read. I laughed at that a few years ago, but it's true.

What is the point here?

Anyways, I didn't read the Haugh column, but did he really say that the only way to grow as a person etc is to play football? BernSTINE is making it seem like he gave no other alternative to "growing up and learning lessons". Is this true or not? Because Dr. Bernstine is basing much of his criticism on that point.

Cubs could use a stop between Ravenswood and Clybourn on the Kenosha line. Surprised there isn't one.
