Pretty sure that was Bruce Levine who said "It sounds like the Score."

The 2007 Lebron-Cavs would absolutely beat the current Heat team, and very easily if Bosh was out.

City of Fools vibe.

Ok, let's say Lebron and Lebron cancel each other out. Are you telling me that Wade + collection of has-beens would be better than the rest of that Cavs roster. I don't think so.

Interestingly, 2007 was LeBron's worst statistical season, not counting his rookie year.

And the rest of the starters, since I couldn't remember who was on that team:
Larry Hughes
Eric Snow
Boobie Gibson
Drew Gooden
Zydrunas Ilgauskas
Sasha Pavolvic
and bench:
Donyell Marshall
Anderson Varejao

All schooled by the Spurs in the 2007 NBA Finals.

Donyell Marshall could still start on this sorry Heat squad

Jason would take Newton over Cutler right now? In his second season?

I wonder why.

I'd take Newton if I were a GM moving forward. I wouldn't take him for 2012, and there are maybe eight coaching staffs that will use Newton correctly.

Just listened to transition and I must point out that Chicken in a Biskit crackers are the most disgusting snack food ever created.

I'd take Cutler right now but said that Newton will be responsible for more touchdowns. And disagreed with Dan that he can't make all the throws. Also said Cutler is one of the top 3-4 talents in the game. Or...what the guy who listens so carefully said.

As a rookie, Cam Newton had 35 touchdowns and 19 turnovers(interceptions + fumbles), threw for over 4,000 yards, and ran for over 700 yards.

Yes please.

I'd take Newton in the future, but not right now. Like Bernstein said the ranking is based on where they're at in 2012. he's seen more and is more polished.

A lot of other QBs have mediocre lines, yeah but they don't have a 7th round bum playing LT.

Personally, I'd put Cutler at #11 right now. And I don't get why Goff is questioning his decision making. That's not going to change, its been long established that Cutler us a bit of a risk taker.

I want to see if Newton is going to be able to transition to be a pure passer, he's not going to be running for 700 yards per season. He won't last in the league doing that.

Agree, there are lots of good ways to eat chicken (wings are my personal fav), so why put it on a biscuit?

I think Mac hit a nerve today.
Did anyone on this show other than Goff play sports at the high school level or is WSCR softball and the YMCA the highest level.
Larry doesn't count since he had multiple mlb scouts after him.

And I don't get why Goff is questioning his decision making. That's not going to change, its been long established that Cutler us a bit of a risk take

I'm not an expert on the Panthers, but normally the worst team in the league isn't good at much. The depth chart lists Byron Bell who was an undrafted free agent in 2011. He may be good though. I don't know.

I don't think Newton over Cutler should be something you get mad at. Newton was awesome last year.

If Bernstein said Cam Newton can't "make all of the throws," ask him why he is such a football retard.

Because it's an irrelevant point. It's not like that trend is going to change, he is what he is. I'm not arguing that Cutler belongs with Rodgers or other top 5 QBs.

Cam Newton definitely surprised me. I wasn't sure Cam was going to make the transition as seamlessly as he did from a turbulent Heisman Trophy-winning season at Auburn to making a bad Carolina Panthers' team on the whole watchable most Sunday afternoons last season.

Hell, I don't even believe that. And I don't think Goff really believes that. I think Cutler has one of the top 3-4 arms, but "talent" is a broad term. So Goff is basically saying Cutler doesn't have the talent from the neck up or he's not clutch in the big moments.

He had the best QB rookie year in history, and you can tell the skeptics were biased and thought he was going to be another run first QB.

I'm just not ready to put him ahead of some veterans who've played big time games.
