Guns N' Roses lead singer Axl Rose was a victim of theft in Paris, according to the Associated Press. The three gold-and-diamond necklaces valued at $200,000 were stolen after the band played at Bercy stadium Tuesday.
Rose was visibly upset when attending a private event after the concert, a Paris police spokesperson told AP Wednesday.
Rose was not believed to be wearing the jewelry at the time of the robbery, the spokesperson added. Judicial police have launched an investigation.
Unfortunately, the theft wasn't the only problem the group faced during their UK dates. During their June 1 show at the O2 Arena they were interrupted by fans throwing money and pint glasses on stage, according to NME.

Bassist Tommy Stinson warned the rowdy crowd. "If you throw any f—king thing on stage, we'll go home," he said. Rose backed Stinson, saying his bandmate was "laying down the law."

Ooohh what a tough guy you are Tommy, far cry from the 'Placemats huh?

At the show on May 31, concertgoers who arrived wearing T-shirts promoting former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash were not allowed to enter the venue until they changed.

What an epic douchecrack Axl is.

Pint glasses? Glass pint glasses at a concert venue in 2012? Had the pint glasses ever been in contact with tree nuts? Was it '80's night?

Ah the thing about stuff being thrown on stage does not bother me. But the thing with people wearing slash shirts is just down right ridiculous. Slash is a HUGE reason for GnR's success and why Axl is known all over the world.

Not sure what the problem is with threatening to stop the show if anything is being launched at the stage, let alone glass. I'm pretty sure that most other bands (Slash and Velvet Revolver included) would have done the same thing.

I wish he had just released Chinese Democracy under his own name. It's a great album that's getting mocked and disregarded precisely because he chose not to do it like that.

As for the Slash stuff- I honestly think that the cause of everything is the fact that Axl is incredibly self-conscious about his image. Back in '93 it was kind of evident that Axl was starting to bald. Slash wasn't- he's still rolling with the mop to this day. Rose and Slash were the face of GNR, so it was a horrifying scenario for him. It's not necessarily his fault- some people just aren't wired to deal with that sort of thing.

How are Axl and Slash even still alive after all these years of drinking/drugs? They are the Jake the Snake of music

Axl was never really a big abuser of junk over the years. Now Slash and Duff they are a different story.

I read an interview with Duff in Metal Edge magazine a long time ago when he was releasing some of solo work- he said a doctor told him that one more drink would kill him. That's probably a cliched line for doctors dealing with musicians in a rock band, but I think he's been sober since then.

I think the GNR guys look like kids in high school sneaking into their dad's liquor cabinet compared to some members of the Stones or Aerosmith. Especially Ozzy. A ten minute video comprised of clips from The Osbournes shown to high school students in health class would probably make a bigger impact than the entire War on Drugs campaign and all the money thrown at it over the years.

I met Slash twice. He actually is a pretty nice guy. Very polite,it was kind of a surprise. He is real close with my family on the west coast. They all said nothing but nice things about him.

Dr. Ken,
That might be closer to the truth than I choose to beleive. I told my wife just keep smiling and "Don't ask nuthin' personal". when we were out there.

Slash - "Hello Mr. Pasta, pleasure to meet you"
Jimmy - "What is with you kids and all the long hair and piercings? You ever see Sinatra or Dean Martin in a tattoo parlor or safety pins in their heads? And your clothes, what is with that, back in my day..........."
Slash - Walks away quietly.

Duff's autobiography is fantastic. He actually drank so much that his pancreas exploded. That's pretty fucking impressive. :bom: :drunken:
