Only if he had money on the game.

So how do you feel about teams that tank at the end of a season to get a better draft pick? I know this is more of a problem in basketball but would you like to see those organizations and coaches excommunicated from the game?

yes, but impossible to prove. I don't think any players tank games. why would they?

Trade a stud at 23 who is only going to get better? 5 more years till he reaches his baseball prime.

WOW. Dumb Dumb Dumb. Some people are clueless.

What happend yesterday wasn't the first time a major leaguer forgot how many outs there were, and it won't be the last.

Yes, thats part of the reason Bud Dude is so uninformed.

But he posts these dismissive ridiculous posts and then disappears for months.

At least there's that to be happy about.

I wish he was here yesterday to tell you how terrible Miller Lite is.

What's wrong with Miller Lite? As far as pedestrian beers go, nothing wrong with it.

The pop top can thing is almost as dumb as the vortex bottle and it tastes like watered down piss

I just cannot get on board with trading Castro yet. He is 22. I agree these type of mistakes are inexcusable. I think you have to give him a couple more years to see how he develops mentally. Physically he is there. A lot of maturing mentally can take place in a couple years with as young as he is. Give him until he is 24 and if he still has not figured it out then trade him. At 24 he is still young enough and talented enough to get a pretty nice return.

"Sure,It starts with a can of beer and some guys looking for a good time. It ends up with a group of middle-aged men snorting old house paint and asking the 84 year old neighbor lady if she needs dust blown out of her vagina. I've seen punks like you before,McCracken. They come through the precinct all the time. You think you have all the answers, but after 35 years on the force, let me tell you...You don't!"

He doesn't give a fuck about defense, he's made it pretty clear. I doubt it's something he can "mature" into caring about. Now that's not the end of the world or anything if he hits, but I'm not on board with assuming his power numbers are going to get better as he gets older. A little better, sure, but when your avg and obp are the same he's going to need more pop, or he's going to need to work on giving 2 shits about defense.

Beer brewed from the remains of a pedestrian would taste better than Miller Lite. Every malt liquor that isn't labeled as high gravity tastes better than Miller Lite.

A factor nobody may be considering, is that he's playing for a team that is obviously going nowhere this season. If he were playing on a team that was winning and contending in their division I'm guessing he would be more focused. Sure, a professional should always be focused and giving great effort. But anyone who has played on both great teams and poor ones, knows that it's a lot tougher to remain as sharp and focused as possible when playing for a poor one. When you know that you have the chance to win and each game can be the difference between winning a division/championship or not, you are gonna stay sharp. When you are only battling for the distiction of being the worst team in the league...I can see how some focus might get lost once in a while.
