Yeah, that's pretty much it. He won't get that much but he'll make plenty over the first couple of years at stud, plus the owners will probably syndicate him at a set rate. If he was literally just about any other horse he'd probably run. But he's worth millions more at stud then he could ever make on the track, and that's that.

What's a real bummer is that there's no reason to tune into NBC5 or listen to the live audiostream on 670 The SCORE's page at CBSchicago.com late tomorrow afternoon upon the news of I'll Have Another being scratched. They were hyping it as if it really mattered.

Irish Boy, the Belmont Stakes is late in the afternoon while Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals drops the puck around 7p. It is an absolute letdown...That's for sure.

I think the Thunder are good because they are more of a team (gasp) it matters. Also, quite frankly, I think Durant is and will be better than James can hope to be. I posted earlier IMHO James will be Gervin or Wilkins.... A memory of nothing.

I get the feeling that Bernstein thinks the Thunder are undeniably better than the Heat because they just finished a high-scoring series with not great defense by either team. And Heat-Celtics is an ugly, defensive series, so of course they look worse.

I do favor the Thunder in that matchup, but they aren't going to be shooting 52.1 Effective FG% against the Heat.

Heat-Thunder isn't likely to be won or lost by the Thunder because their superstars outplay or get outplayed by the Heat's superstars.

Thunder beat the Spurs because Thunder players 3 through 7 outplayed the Spurs 3 through 7.

...Plus, Oklahoma City made the necessary adjustments after losing the first 2 in San Antonio. They never looked back.
