When I was 17 I went to Rosati's to try to get a job delivering pizzas. I had just been getting high on the way there and spilled shake/crumbs on my shirt when I was rolling a j. When I shook hands with the manager he was staring at my shirt the whole time I was introducing myself. Before I even sat down for the interview all he said was "Young man I suggest you come to an interview in a more professional manner in the future. There's no openings right now." I probably smelled like the ganja too I'm guessing.

I was bummed out til I had another j rolled cruising home. Plus I got a job delivering pizzas with Barnabys a couple days later.

I love stories of pizza delivery....

My early memories of listening to The Score 820 were when I was delivering pizzas for Pizza Pete in Cal City (moment of silence). Usually caught the end of The Heavy Fuel Crew and then Murph 'til the sun went down back then.....good times. 8)

I'm embarrassed to admit that I liked listening to Murph.

Two summers ago when I was at Ft Polk my buddy and I were driving to his house after our morning run when we saw one of best looking women running in spandex we had ever seen in our lives. He hit a mailbox.

I had a job delivering for Rosati's in Gurnee back when I was home for the summer from college and that probably would have gotten you hired faster over there then if you were sober

Which Rosati's?

The one on 72 & Salem I think in Hoffman Estates, across from HEHS. The owner/manager was an old bald guy i think named Scott.

When I graduated in 2010, the woman who was announcing the names just so happened to be my adviser, she was really professional throughout the whole ceremony, albeit a little monotone. But when she got to me, her inflection changed and she read it as if she were surprised that I was graduating. At first I thought it was just me, but afterwards my sister-in-law asked me if that woman knew me...

First time I tried to make dinner for the current gf, I fired up my grill, and promptly ran out of propane. Now we live together and have a natural gas line into the grill.

When I was working at Chili's we were having a total meltdown on fri dinner shift, well they hire lots of guys there
and I expect dudes to handle everything and I worry more about the women. This one guy totally loses it and is crying
in the back room so I go off on him telling him to quit being such a homo and quit acting like a bitch. OOOPS found out later that night he had just came out of thecloset (not that there is anything wrong with that) and was having a hard time coping with the whole process  I should have known by the looks of all the other servers that I was in trouble. Great call from HR that was.
But shit what do you say when a guy is crying because a guest is being difficult?
As I remember I should have figured that one out.

Was out to dinner with the wife before we got married. I was holding a file with the wedding plans in it and started the corner of it on fire with the candle on the table. Waitress saw it before both of us and ran over and put it out. And she still married me.

Should have gone with YOU CAN ACT LIKE A MAN! What's the matter with you? Is this what you've become, a Hollywood finocchio who cries like a woman? "Oh, what do I do? What do I do?" What is that nonsense? Ridiculous! Then asked if he spends time with his family.

Mine's really bad.

After failing out of Oklahoma with a 0.00 gpa my first semester of college, I ended up at College of Lake County with all the other fuckups from my high school who couldn't hack it out of town which ended up being pretty much everyone I was friends with anyway.

Needless to say following up a failed attempt at college by going to a junior college with all my stoner friends was not a good scholastic strategy. we pretty much blew off every class and just got baked all day.

So, during the semester I had to write a paper for a class and I wrote a gem, a 10 page paper on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon called, "Putting Light on the Dark Side". Paper got an A.

Flash forward to the end of the semester and I had to write a 5 page paper for a different class. I had blown off this class a lot. So, I decided to turn in the same paper I wrote for the other class since it was an A paper. And here's where it gets good. I wrote a note to the teacher and put it in front of the paper, the note said something like this...."Dear Prof so and so, I'm sorry I missed so much class. In order to make up for it I've decided to write a 10 page paper instead of a 5 page paper."

I took the paper and put it in her mailbox in the dept office as instructed. As I was leaving the building it suddenly dawned on me that I had forgetten to replace the last page of the paper where the previous teacher had written his grade and made his comments!!

I ran back up to her office, but as I got there she was at her mailbox and holding the papers.

Needless to say I failed the class. I gotta believe that to this day she tells that story to her students, about the idiot who turned in a previously graded paper and forgot to take the grade sheet out...and to top it off had the gall to write a note at the beginning about writing extra pages.
