I got to catch most of that with the break in NBA games. It was one of those rare 20-30 minute moments where I wished I understood and watched more hockey. Even to my extremely amateur eye who just learned who Jonathon Quick was 4 weeks ago you could tell it looked like it was going to be an outstanding game.

For no reason at all I'm pulling for your Kings CC. I'm hoping to get to watch Game 6. Forgive if you already answered this in this thread but how do you like LA's chances in Game 6?

Truth be told, I'm shaken a bit...

I saw the stat where they were 1-3 in game 4's, and 14-0 in every other game this playoffs. They lost a bit of their mystique and Quick looked jumpy last night. He has always been shaky playing the puck, but this playoffs he had been lucky; I just hope that the Parise goal last night didn't change the series.

Once Sutter changed up the lines, it seemed to raise a bit of a white flag. It's going to take an awesome effort by the Richards line to win game 6. I think it's going to happen. Richards and Brown don't seem like the type to get defeated easily, they're are going to come out pissed.

pretty good, but I'll know a lot more after I go skating tonight. Hitting up the public skate at Northbrook tonight at 7, not hockey, just skating. If that feels good, I'll introduce sticks and pucks into the equation Wednesday. And if that goes good I might be ready to introduce other people into the equation next week!

Are you a member of the Chicago Rat hockey club? If not, you should join. Its free to join and the guy who runs it buys ice 2x a week for club members. Good bunch of guys, skill level is not very high, but its a friendly well run skate.

Over the summer he has a weekly skate at Johnnys every monday night at 5:45-7 pm. And then another one Wednesday nights at Heartland (in Lincolnwood) that starts around 9.
