Seems like ignoring this tonight was the right decision.

You missed some really good matches. Unfortunately they were complemented by some really dumb finishes.

I'm sure Bob or someone will throw the ones I need to see up on YouTube.

Best announcer in rasslin right now has to be Nigel in ROH. Second is probably Kevin Kelly. hmmm

I say, bring back Don West, somewhere, anywhere and he'd punish the rest of the color guys. Especially now, they need someone to remind you that this stuff is supposed to be fun.

I like Nigel, but he's too screamy.

This PPV annoyed me a lot more on rewatch and went from thumbs in the middle to thumbs down.

Sheamus-Ziggler: Ziggler carried Sheamus to a decent match, albeit one with a lot of botches near the end. I'm just sick of sick Super Sheamus altogether; he doesn't even ever have odds to overcome like Super Cena since they're always already in his favor anyway. Wouldn't it have made more sense for Ziggler to lose via Swaggerference and allow for some storyline development here, rather than Sheamus calling for his finisher and then hitting his finisher to pin the guy for the third time in 3 weeks? Glad the crowd was so hot for Ziggler though.

Tuxedo match: Typical dumb WWE comedy match featuring two guys who are completely capable of putting on a good non-comedy match.

Christian-Cody: Least aggravating match of the show. Cody Roids is probably positioned to win a briefcase next month. It's just unfortunate that before the dumb Big Show feud and subsequent jobbing took all of his momentum away, he was capable of moving up the card without relying on that particular gimmick.

Four-Way Tag Match: This was fine, but nobody cared about it until the Kidd spot and nobody cares about the AW "swerve." That certainly couldn't be the result of McMahon pretty much telling everyone not to care about the tag division on a weekly basis. Even though Young and O'Neil are the worst workers of the teams involved with this, they're also probably the funniest on the mic, so I don't really mind.

Triple H: Mercifully short by his standards.

Layla-Beth: These two matches have sucked, though this one was a bit less sloppy than the one last month. Layla's timing still seems somewhat off since coming back and like the tag match, shockingly no one cared about the divas either.

Hunico-Sin Cara: This Sin Cara comeback is going about as well as Albert's return so far.

Triple Threat: This was the one that really bugged me, despite probably being the best match on the card. Dragging the AJ stuff out for another 4 weeks is going to make it completely played out, and if/when they do a heel turn it will be too late (whereas the build going into this show was almost perfect). Bryan and Punk were able to carry Kane to a good match, but the crowd, which was hotter for this match than any of the others, was predictably silent any time he did anything other than being on the receiving end of offense from those two. Bryan not taking the pin does not really protect him at all since one GTS made him irrelevant for the next 5 minutes. I wouldn't be surprised if he slinks back to the midcard and we're treated to Punk-Kane for a while longer ( ) but even if not, he still looked weak here. This was really the best time to have the belt change hands, but I guess non-sell-out Punk has some "I dig crazy chicks" shirts to sell for the summer.

Ryback- Zzzz

Cena-Show: Shockingly these two guys with a history of bad matches with each other had yet another slow boring one tonight. Finish was predictably overbooked nonsense. Whatever.

So did the Big Show get fired?

Nope. It was Johnny Ace's job on the line, not Show's.

I forgot he had that "new" no fire clause contract or whatever. Dammit.

Meltzer post game. not bad.
Wrestling Observer Radio with Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer returns tonight to talk all the news in wrestling and MMA including a full review of the WWE No Way Out PPV, a pretty depressing Father's Day gift, Raw Monday, the Lauranitis firing, New Japan, Sin Cara and how they dropped the ball, a bunch of UFC changes, injuries and a drug test failure, Silva vs. Sonnen build, Matt Morgan and the WWE vs. TNA lawsuit, plus your questions on a number of different subjects.

youtube filters jumped all over the ppv. i tried to carve the "better" matches out and those didn't make it either.

If you're into the torrent sites, there's so many seeders right now that the download took only about 15 minutes

the funniest thing I ever heard regarding a cusack was a caller comparing Joan to Natalie from Facts of Life.

With all her fucked up facial ticks and mannerisms she reminds me more of cousin Jeri.
