CSFMB float?

I assume many here have never been to this parade, but this would be the only parade we could actually enter a float in. They basically let anyone in. Thus some of the floats are just a pickup, with some decorations and a sign like

Illinois Gay and Lesbian Bowling Assoc.

Gay Heavy Metal Crew!

It's actually a pretty funny parade, but be warned, if you are even slightly homophobic, this would be a nightmare for you, the gay boys are awfully aggressive that day.

Find a rooftop, view and stay safe out there!

It is also the only parade in the city that they allow drinking at. I seen it all even public sex at this parade when I was working for the city cleaning up after it.These guys seriously party.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a Gay Pride Parade. The issue I have is when the costumes border on poor taste and strong sexual connotations. There are little kids there.

See, here's how I see this. I'm guessing the costumes bordering on "poor taste" or "strong sexual connotations" were there long before the yuppies started dragging their kids to this thing like it's a Savage Garden concert. Any parent that does this knows what to expect and obviously doesn't have an issue exposing their kids to whatever the hell goes on there. Thusly, don't fret about Cinemax experiences.

I don't necessarily think that the ethnic/group celebrations are wrong, nor should those of that ethnicity/group should not don their own traditional garb. I'm Irish. I won't wear a kilt, but I wouldn't fault fellow Irishmen who did. I also wouldn't go to Octoberfest wearing leiderhosen. Save that crap for the douches that say things like "It's St Patricks Day! We're all *barf* Irish today"
